I threw my name in as well. I love the folding mid-gate. i was one of the few people that bought a Envoy XUV back in 2004/2005 and loved the folding midgate. It will take me some time to get use to a pickup with a bed that is not separately bolted to the frame other then the honda ridgeline . But this is likely the future and makes sense if they can pull it off. I tried to go super fast but it took until around 1:01:43 for me to get all the way through as I didn't think about picking a dealer. Reservation ID: 8952XX. I also look at it this way....I am top 5 at my dealership. IF (and this is a BIG IF) somehow I can get myself a Pro I can hold onto that (and take advantage of the 7.5k tax refund) and if I like what Chevy has at the time of ordering I can just sell the Pro and at worst (estimation) come out even or a little ahead.

Yup - same reason I didn't put in for an R1T (even if it is a bit too small)

The technology of the Silverado seems much better than the Ford. 800v charging and their better driver assistance features, it just comes off as a more modern EV.

That was always going to be the case. Lightning was a shortcut to market, turn the existing truck into an EV with minimal changes.

Their purpose built EV platform truck will be far more like this but even further down the road.

Yup... my Honda Odyssey minivan is better by 40 lbs. I want a truck because on long trips, we hit that with my family and all their crap.
