I've had a similar fear in the past. For what it's worth, my workaround has been a piece of cardboard.
we thought about this, but we didnt think of making one, since i saw there are some vendors has some universal one.
We appreciate your help on testing these for us! plus our whole team is about to have a two weeks vocation anyway, so we wont be able to make the molding. lets take our time and make sure things are 100% perfect.
That should give me time to test them and send detailed photos.
That would work as a temporary solution but I would prefer something that is hard plastic or metal that would magnetically snap or quickly screw on.
I don't think magnets will work, Aluminum bed.
Yeah, but a small metal bracket that goes on the top and bottom between the screws could be steel and then a cover that snaps on to it.
@BestEvMod Just wanted to get some feedback on if this even possible?@BestEvMod First trip to the grocery store yesterday and it became apparent 4 hooks were not enough. I would like to propose a hook / shelf that would fit over existing hooks that runs from the plugs on the left to right side. This would have an 1.5 to 2 inch wide tray to hold pencils/screw drivers/level, etc. and in the front have teeth like hooks that run the length of the frunk. This would friction fit on and lift off for removal or to access the battery. Below is a crude illustration. Let me know what you think. PM me for a phone conversation.

I think having something solid, not grated like that picture, would do a better job of keeping out dirt/gravel. Think dustproof, not necessarily waterproof.sth like this? but easier to open.
