  1. Should I avoid a used ‘22?

The guy did get back to me. He has a local offer pending. He had to replace a battery module at 20k kms, had to replace the air conditioning (?), a brake caliper, and the rear bumper from backing into a tree. Ford extended the HV battery warranty to 10years/200k kms. Sounds like it probably...
  2. Should I avoid a used ‘22?

Seller not responding, I’ve got no time for nonsense. Maybe it sold, but ad still up. Well, plenty of options for a buyer with no timeline and I assume prices will trickle even lower as time goes by. Thanks for all the input!
  3. Should I avoid a used ‘22?

I’m just short about $50k. But point taken ?
  4. Should I avoid a used ‘22?

Well, so far no response from the seller. As far as the market goes, it is the lowest priced XLT ER that I’ve seen anywhere in Canada; even given the relatively higher mileage either it is a good deal or there is a backstory. I could get a new ā€˜25 standard range XLT in mid 60’s, a ā€˜23 used...
  5. Should I avoid a used ‘22?

that sounds like it has been a terrible experience. I hope that at a slightly higher mileage, issues relating to build quality might have already shown themselves. I did take a Silverado EV out twice for a test drive. I tried to love it. The range is phenomenal, but that’s it. I hated the drive...
  6. Should I avoid a used ‘22?

I’ve been looking at these trucks since the beginning, never bit the bullet to buy one, just too pricey for me here in Canada. Now the used prices are coming down. I’m looking again. I found an ad for a private sale, for a 2022 silver XLT ER, in Canada Includes the 312 package and has max tow...
  7. Found unsold '23 XLT ER: Battery implications from sitting 2years?

Thanks for all the input. I did speak with the sales manager yesterday, really they couldn't be less interested in selling me a vehicle and were not interested in giving me a reasonable price. What they are asking isn't a whole lot less than a new Flash which makes that a no-brainer. Plus...
  8. Found unsold '23 XLT ER: Battery implications from sitting 2years?

My problem is that I have an itch for a lot of things. I think I have EV fleas. Or EVexcema.
  9. Found unsold '23 XLT ER: Battery implications from sitting 2years?

So, still have the Lightning bug. In browsing around, I found a dealer in rural western Canada that somehow appears to have 2 unsold 2023 Lightning XLT ER's still on their lot. Although they don't have a heat pump, they have the 312 package that have the faster onboard chargers, etc. They...
  10. Honda Ridgeline to Lightning...maybe.

Agree, can’t compare to a half ton. What I realized is that I don’t need a half ton. Whether a Ridgeline is a truck in the eyes of other truck owners means zero to me. It does all the truck stuff I need it to. It does look a little dorky. ā€œMiles ahead in all aspectsā€, maybe or maybe not...
  11. Honda Ridgeline to Lightning...maybe.

I spent the past couple of years trying to justify replacing my ā€˜18 Ridgeline with a Lightning. Mainly because I was excited by the idea of something new and a first EV. I took a cooling off period for a few months and am glad I did, because I love my Ridgeline more the longer I have it. It is...
  12. If a Tesla can recognize all versions of supercharger, why can’t Lightning be programmed to do the same?

I know for some pre-2021 Teslas to use other brand CCS chargers, some needed a hardware upgrade for compatibility. Doesn’t seem crazy that they could reverse engineer an adaptor to make it work backwards. But wishful thinking and clearly more complicated than that
  13. If a Tesla can recognize all versions of supercharger, why can’t Lightning be programmed to do the same?

Simplistic question, I know, and yes, I have used the search button on the forum. But at a very simple level, if a Tesla can differentiate between the different types of superchargers, and adapt to different protocol or handshake to recognize and accept a charge from them, Then, what is the...
  14. US Ford ESP in Canada

That is a crazy good deal. Congratulations on your new truck
