Unless you are willing to go down to a low trim Silverado, the Lightning is the most affordable one. Rivians are cool but I have heard mix feedback regarding warranty work/service appointment scheduling.
The only Silverado worth it is the low trim. We had the Trail Boss Max Range last week on review and it's single-handedly the worst electric pickup I've driven in terms of drivability.

@pmac1010 I'm glad to hear you're all good. While it's always heartbreaking to have a vehicle written off, you can't as easily be replaced.

FWIW, I'm seeing some really decent pricing on used Lariats these days.

My beautiful 2023 Lightning Lariat ER in Azure Grey was involved in a crash and looks to be totaled. Fortunately no injuries! Big transit van decided to U-turn into my truck.
I don't owe any money on it, so once I get a settlement I will put into a new or used truck. With all our collective experience with electric trucks, any recommendations on what to get? I'm leaning towards another Lightning, either Lariat or Platinum, probably 2023 or 2024 with low miles.

Now I'm curious:

1. At what relative speeds did the vehicles connect?

2. What did the other vehicle look like? Better? Worse? About the same?

Admin can delete if not allowed. But I have a 2023 Lariat ER lease that I’m looking for someone to take over. Buyout option at the end. 12,665 miles currently.

glad you’re ok!

Now that Chevy/GMC's are much cheaper, I'd at least test drive one. I kind of wanted to check one out, but at the time they were 100k.....

Get your driver‘s side mirror/visor with Homelink out of the truck and the rubber floor mats if you have them. 24/25 don’t have Homelink and many trucks don’t come with the good floormats.

About 40mph (I wasn't in the truck but this is what I'm told)

2. What did the other vehicle look like? Better? Worse? About the same?
Ford Transit van in about the same shape unfortunately. I'm sure both are totaled.

I would definitely get another Lightning. Better luck with the new one.

I think you should go CyberTurd….🤮

I would look for a used one for sure. Sad the amount of depreciation our Lightnings took. If you can’t and you found a great lease deal, I would do that and see what the market has in 2-3 years. 🤷‍♂️

Good to hear no one was hurt.
azure grey is a rare color and it’s sad to see another one off of the road.

The lightning has much better efficiency
Not sure I would say much better. Tom with State of Charge got 2.1mi/kWh with the Lightning and 2.0mi/kWh with the Silverado EV on his 70mph range test.
