It's between Orlando and Miami. It used to have an old dive bar and even worse hotel attached, but a semi truck smashed into it a few years ago. It used to be a location that you didn't really want to stop unless you had to, but now it's getting better.
I was poking around on the Ford app at chargers and saw one show up that wasn't available yet, but showed 200 chargers. I thought it was a mistake, but nope https://floridainsider.com/business/fl-turnpike-will-host-largest-tesla-charging-station-in-the-world/
I did search yeehaw junction, so...
I'm a bit of a newb, so ignore me, but if it happened that way, it might be just that it dropped from the higher 100+kw down to a more normal 50-60kw after 80% and it just kind of dropped too low to make the actual adjustment. Almost like 'hey, kill the power, ok, now lets go to 50kw' but it...
So I keep one in my trunk/frunk after reading how people had issues after a software update. Not saying this was the culprit, more that this makes me wonder if we should just do a nice cold reboot once every quarter or 6 months or so. Kind of like back in the old Windows days. I'm 20 years from...
It doesn’t show it now, but a couple weeks ago it showed that it was starting construction on 9/27 (I think that was the date) and we were leaving the following day. Now it doesn’t even show on the Tesla app. I didn’t drive by to see what they were doing. Hopefully expanding.
I was originally going to FL City, with Key Largo as a backup, but thankfully the Ford app told me the Tesla stations were going to be under construction so I knew the EA was going to be full.
I was then going to Kendal Village, but these (EA and Tesla) always seemed to be more than 50% full...
Look at the Maverick vs Ranger numbers. Really shows that people want a smaller truck. CAFE needs to adjust to allow smaller trucks to be easily made.
And yes, I do see the F150 numbers. Obviously full size trucks are the most popular, as they were in the 80s, but people do love little trucks...
TLDR: Was a nice trip without any issues and was very enjoyable using the Lightning.
Decided to take the Lightning to Key West. I bought an A2Z adapter as mine from Ford isn't going to arrive until November. We brought our bikes, so kind of made the decision to use the Lightning. Side note...
I kind of wish I could have gotten an option for a $100 discount for removing the sensors for it all together. This along with the lane keeping thing almost got me in an accident when trying to hug the lines on a very narrow 2 lane highway with semi trucks or farm equipment coming from the other...
Unfortunately that's even nicer than my old Ridgeline lol. The good thing about the Ridgline is I just ignored everything and only used bluetooth streaming. It did well with this. Nothing else though.
I came from a 2021 Gladiator Mojave and my rates went up just a small amount. I don't even remember what it was, but it was something like OP's. This was with Geicho
I'm always impressed with taking a screenshot of the photos app vs just uploading the picture directly.
I wasn't close to the eye, but got some nice wind/rain and was under a tornado watch. Power didn't go out, but I was ready with extension cords lol.
Basically agreeing with this post https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1758608-disable-chimes-and-warning-when-turning-on-normal-cruise-control.html
I really don't like the adaptive cruise control or blue cruise or any of that. I disabled everything, but now I get a really annoying chime every...
