Turkish firms do a lot of licensed production as subs to German industry. Don't know if that's the case here (i.e. Bosch) but I wouldn't be surprised. Turkish higher-end manufacturing is pretty reliable these days.
For what it's worth and after doing some hands-on research, I am convinced that either the late-model Raptor rear bumper horizontal hitch draw bar or the late model Tremor rear bumper horizontal hitch draw bar would work on our Lightnings. Both these horizontal bars with OEM welded-on tow loops...
Great idea IMHO. I see two groups of problems though:
1). Someone would have to pay for all this. Dealerships get capital by sales of durable goods (vehicles) and by after-sale longer term services, i.e an imperfect yet mostly functional version of "customer capture", reinforced by the...
Tom, I see we're Arlington neighbors. If You have trouble setting headlight glare-free function just DM me and we can meet up. I turned my glare-free function on.
Hard to notice when I'm driving haha... but once I started monkeying with the DRL intensity setting and checking in the Mercedes plate glass windows, I assure You that in daylight, just the central rectangles are ON. Therefore, I started to think of those rectangles as DRL.
I actually looked...
Hmm I do wonder whether this is a trim level difference.
I adjusted my DRL strength (based on FORScan info on this forum) twice, from the OEM 10% up to 75% and then back down to 25%. I always check it at the plate glass front windows of the Mercedes dealership down my road.
That's how I know...
For the OP: another factor which hasn't been discussed on this thread but which is absolutely a factor for longer distance EV driving is "changing elevation" i.e. driving in the mountains.
I have over 80,000 miles of EV driving in the past three years, all over the USA, and in my experience...
My driveway has a notable slope (no garage here) and pretty much always when I close the power tailgate in the driveway, it at 1st refuses to close and yells at me, and then on the repeat click attempt it does its job and fully closes. Interestingly, if I use the tailgate's rubber button it...
I understand that seal is what failed in my 1st Mach E front motor. When they took off the orange multi=pin high voltage connector, stuff was oozing out from in between all the connector pins. Of course, all the car's warning systems computers went crazy, i.e. STOP SAFELY NOW etc. etc. Too...
"Coolant" = not words I used. You used "coolant" in Your comment above when You mentioned the motor and the traction battery. Although, technically the fluid both lubricates and cools rotating parts in the motor. Sandy Munro in his discussion of these motors mentions cooling functions of the...
Why do I know a bit about the internal fluid in Ford electric motors (and why I now have a Lightning, haha):

BTW - that was two front motor replacements in the just over 2 years...
