Kind of a specific question here, but I am seeing conflicting info on what frequency the TPMS is for my 2023. Mine was built at the very end of 2023 in December and I have the 20in Goodyear EV tires as OEM. I know it’s either 315mhz or 433mhz but not sure which one. I’m asking because I have...
This is mainly a suggestion/observation for Ford but I’m curious to hear what Ford EV owners think of the idea.
I read this forum a lot, along with Reddit and Facebook. When someone has an issue with their Lightning or Mach-e there is a huge variance in quality of service and basic EV knowledge...
I realize this is an old thread, but I bought these for my 2023 Lightning per the above comments but I’m wondering if anyone has confirmed these do indeed work for 2023 (in addition to 2022)? I read somewhere the frequency changed but it’s not clear which year that happened.
Took a quick glance at the site myself and it’s not clear how you search for 2023 on there. Only saw 2024. Person asking about this may just have to search all the dealer sites within a certain mile radius of where they are.
Does your auto insurance cover daily rental? I believe this is what my dealer did when I had my truck in. They asked for my insurance info and rented me a bronco. But I never saw a bill for it so I assume it was covered by my insurance. If your dealer can’t rent, maybe at least see if insurance...
Thanks. Had no idea about any of this. Are you saying someone could also just develop their own app or vehicle status page with these APIs? I realize we’re venturing into a whole separate topic/thread here.
I’m not an engineer so you may have a point there. But I do know the truck “knows” and tells you on the dash when the door/frunk/tailgate/charge port door is open and it “knows” if the doors are locked or not. The windows I’m not so sure about, but would be amazing if the truck had awareness...
Out of curiosity, if you’re in a low garage and the frunk starts opening I assume it will just hit the roof. I wonder if there’s a quick kill method to stop the frunk mid flight?
Ford can we please add the following to vehicle status: locked or unlocked, any windows/sunroof open, frunk or tailgate open, door open. I have all this on my Toyota Highlander app.
I wish we had a say in which features to drop and which to keep. Pipe dream I know. But buyers might gladly do without say, an automatic tailgate if it meant keeping dual onboard charging for future buyers. Idk.
I think this sums up the issue well. I have avoided the home integration system and will continue to do so until another solution arrives. CA is already getting ready to mandate EVs are bidirectional so it seems inevitable that other hardware solutions have to be on the horizon. But it’s...
Here’s another YouTuber who has made a number of videos on it. I think she’s on this forum from time to time as well. If you go to the 5 minute point in this video she’s describing her own latest woes with the system and how it relies on Bluetooth communication to function.
This X thread is like a whose on first skit. I haven’t tested it but I’d wager a bet that any 80amp charger will work with a 2022 or 2023 Lightning OR with a 2024 that added the dual onboard charger from the factory. If they didn’t add the dual onboard charger from the factory then it will stop...
With the duration of time that elapsed I would have assumed this truck would fall into lemon law status and result in a Ford buy back. Depending on your state laws I would consider looking into this. However, this experience also shows (again and again in my opinion) that Ford really needs...
