  1. When will 2025s be available? And does Ford normally run promotions to move older models?

I really wanted the active-x in my 24 Lariat. Unfortunately, the available ones didnā€™t have max tow and pro power. The leather is ok, but was not my preference.
  2. Pace Edwards UltraGroove Metal Tonneau Cover and Line-X installed

While I didnā€™t go with the decked system, I just added a couple of their containers to keep stuff dry. Thanks for the recommendation.
  3. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

Itā€™s a little extra, but never an issue with this power supply: https://a.co/d/0ERQRWL
  4. Carplay sound issues with iOS 18.1 developer beta

Funny you mention this. I donā€™t run iOS beta, but I am running 18. I have a fully customized stereo I installed in the car. I tune with a DSP. I did the same thing with my Mach-E. Lately, I will spend an hour or so as I am finalizing the DSP of the car, and I am amazed at the results. Then...
  5. Help Picking Ford extended Warranty

Thank you for all the answers. Anyone know the difference between PremiumCare and premiumcare ā€œplusā€? Is it worth it?
  6. Help Picking Ford extended Warranty

I am a little confused about how to ensure I select the correct extended service plan. I have seen ā€œ FORD PROTECT PREMIUMCARE PLUS EVā€ for 10yr/100k at a cost of over $5k I have also seen Ford Protect Premium Care (minus the PLUS EV) from Granger for substantially less. I would like help...
  7. Ford Pass App Feedback...user since 2021

The main thing I would like is to be able to switch vehicles with no more than one click.
  8. Ford Resumes Shipping Fast Charging Adapters (Sept. 2024 batch)

Funny thing is, I just got my lightning and the adapter status says October. I ordered my Mach-e adapter when the program first opened up, and the status is January. Good thing I bought an A2Z and Lectron adapter. I have used them already, including for rental cars.
  9. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

Hi. Just for clarity. Is there a new BCM update that makes it worth having the dealer do it?
  10. Tried really hard to love MY23 Lightning Lariat ER

This post is a mess, makes no sense, and will probably confuse people coming to this forum for real info. To summarize: -you are not happy because a Ford charger designed for one charging standard doesnā€™t charge your Tesla which uses a different charging standard - you are not happy about...
  11. Say Hello and Introduce Yourself!!

Been around here for a while, but here is the official intro. My current homeland is Washington state. I have a ā€˜24 Lariat and a 23.5 Mach-E GTPE. The fact that both are the same color is coincidence because the Carbonized grey was the only Lariat/Pro Power/Max Tow I could find. Cars are...

  13. Texas Trip and Tesla Super Charger success

So I am noticing that the Tesla charger starts out at 172kw but is down to 100 after about 10-12 min and about 65%. I am now curious to try Electrify America and want to see if the charging curve is different.
  14. Texas Trip and Tesla Super Charger success

Regular old rental car company at the airport. šŸ˜„
  15. Best adapter for Tesla super charger

I have the Lectron and the A2Z (two EVs). I have only used the Lectron so far and it has been flawless. I am traveling and just used it in a rental lightning in Texas tonight. I believe it is the most recent version. I follow the connect/disconnect instructions in their manual. I look...
  16. Texas Trip and Tesla Super Charger success

I didnā€™t drive my F150 here, but rented an F150 in the Fort Worth area. I know Lightnings and other EVs are not as popular but I have seen a few and have taken part in ā€œmutual WHAT-UPsā€ šŸ˜‚ I brought my adapter and so I got to use the super charger. No issues and it hit a max of 170kw (although...
  17. Insurance cost increase confirmed for my Lightning, happy with the answer

I think one benefit of the Lightning as that it is easy to fix and is the same (same body parts) as the ice version (other than propulsion system of course). Teslaā€™s are harder and more expensive to fix. My lightning doesnā€™t cost anymore than my 12 year old Volvo to insure.
