  1. Ranch Sierra Topper Bed Cap installed on Lightning XLT ER. No noticeable efficiency changes so far

Like the look, I want a topper but still trying to find an easy workaround to pop the lid when the tailgate is released.
  2. Is the Official Ford Motor Company account for issues/repairs on this forum legit?

I completely disagree. You can check my post history to see how helpful they were. I got in touch with a customer service agent who connected me with a Ford Engineer. They guided me through the analysis of faulty parts and helped secure a tow vehicle for a trip I had planned with my Lightning...
  3. Official looking Lightning spotted @ Yosemite Camp Curry!

I've visited Yosemite several times with my truck and spoke with these guys. @ddimit is right; the private concessions company bought them. They are ER pro models, and they use the free Rivian L2 chargers, the same as all the park guests. They use them for all kinds of purposes, from food...
  4. Manual charge port unlock

Electrify America faulted out and the CCS connector won’t disconnect. I tried the procedure above but nothing has worked. If any has any suggestions or can point me to another post for help that would great. I’m stuck waiting for EA SERVICE TECH for 2-3hrs
  5. BedRug Impact Mat length issue

Mine fits correctly, you should get a replacement.
  6. Mountain Top vs Retrax tonneau cover

I have the mountain top, I’ve had several issues related to the opening of the cover. Basically if I don’t lubricate it, it’s a bitch to get open/closed with one hand. I love the drainage/water resistance, small canister size, easy canister opening for cleaning, and heavy duty weight capacity...
  7. "Recent" purchases: How long until the OTA floodgates open?

Same, I was usually getting them same day the individual threads went up on the forum. Now I feel like 6.8 took over two months to push and nothing on 6.13 for several weeks.
  8. SF to LA - anyone has done this?

Done it three times. I usually only needed one stop on the way down since I could charge at my end point. I like Kettleman City on the way down and Harris Ranch Inn on the way back.
  9. Floor mats recommendations? - Lightning Lariat

Had mine since Sept 22, over 20K miles. Been on plenty of multiday camping or ski trips . Any dirt, mud, or road salt is super easy to clean off with vacuum and simple green. I think you might have got a bad batch. They look brand new every time they are cleaned. They also saved me when my...
  10. Floor mats recommendations? - Lightning Lariat

I went with Tuxmat and super satisified. Tuxmat
  11. Towing a 19’ Escape Trailer and using Pro Power

    This what I bought. Camco 55382 12" 30Amp Locking 4-Prong Male / 30Amp Standard Female PowerGrip Generator Adapter https://a.co/d/c0n89xI
  12. Watching YouTube while connected to WiFi without Ford Streaming subscription?

I If you have wireless Carplay on, you need to disconnect from the SYNC system on the truck. If I don't do this, the truck keeps connecting to my phone's Carplay and disconnects my hotspot.
  13. Starting Truck in Ford Pass App changes Profile to Guest

My suggestion was in response to the original question. When I start my truck in the morning I'm not connected to bluetooth and the truck loads the correct profile. We are likely connected to same wifi network, but I've done this plenty of times while camping.
  14. Starting Truck in Ford Pass App changes Profile to Guest

This happened to me after a FordPass update. I found out that the account on my phone became unlinked with my truck. Go through the setup using Sync system in truck like it's a new account and it should work again.
  15. RETRAX EQ

Anyone install this yet? REALTRUCK RETRAX EQ TONNEAU COVER $3,199.99
  16. Realtruck's Retrax Retractable Tonneau Covers Spotlight!

Anyone install this yet? REALTRUCK RETRAX EQ TONNEAU COVER $3,199.99
  17. Toyo EV Optimized Truck tires coming next year

I can't wait to see these on Tyre Review against the non-EV-focused tires. I can't until next winter, so I will go with the Nokian Outpost nAT, which also claims to be "EV" approved.
  18. Airstream EV Camping in Yosemite

I've done an ~500mi trip down to Joshua Tree and ~400mi trip up to Redwood National Park with this setup, I think you'll enjoy your trip. I do quite a bit of planning to pick the right chargers and have backups for my routes. I might be able to make a video about that if you want more detail.
  19. Airstream EV Camping in Yosemite

Nope, only dry camping in Yosemite Valley.
  20. Towing a 19’ Escape Trailer and using Pro Power

Pro Power is amazing with a trailer. A 30A trailer really doesn't use that much battery over say 2-3 days of significant use.
