I just got my truck back today after it being in the shop for 3 weeks to replace a battery module. Really had high hopes but after getting in it for the third time today and driving it, I got the messed up screen background posted in the image below. If it's not one thing, it's another. I drove...
I am on week 3. Battery array arrived last week, but now they have to take it all apart again because it did not come charged and they need to charge that array to the same percentage as the rest of the arrays before they connect it all to balance the cells out. Crazy seeing the car in pieces...
I feel you. I have lost some confidence as well and still don't have the truck back. I do 220 mile trips to the mountains quite often and need a truck for that trip. Hope Ford figured out something and we will all be OK.
How is the car running? Are you seeing any other issues? We should all report back in a month or so in case any other issues arise after battery array / module replacement. They are replacing the battery on mine for same reason today. Mine has been in the shop for a week. Mine was built in...
they should be replacing the whole battery pack like Tesla does @Ford Motor Company. I am waiting for a new battery array but I bet they did not order the glue and all the other parts as well. This is really not ok. Take the whole battery from the production lines to help customers that have...
Well after having the car back for the weekend. The Powertrain malfunction light and reduced power to 4% is back. Also got a high voltage battery warning this time. Crawled back to the dealer at around 8 mph and they did diagnostics on the battery today and confirmed it is a bad battery cell...
Well, mine failed again today. Last week dealer said they resolved it with a software update and then got call an hour later not to drive it too far as the code will come back and Ford had called them that there might be a bad battery cell. It's back at the dealer again but this time I got the...
So. I now have the car back. Tech said that certain modules were not communicating with others and the software update fixed those issues. Then just now I got a call back from Ford dealer saying be careful driving the car and that Ford Corporate called them and said that code that was sent out...
So my car has been at the dealer all day and I got a call that the car is ready. they said they ran some key software updates and that the car runs fine now. Hard to trust that this was the issue. Maybe there is some sort of sensor that is super sensitive that caused the car to go into crawl...
Added. I live 1 mile from dealer. Drove it over there at 8 miles an hour on backstreets. The when dealer turned on car it said 0% power. Walked home. No loaner available.
didn't get the red truck with exclamation point. Car goes about 5 miles an hour. This is horrible. Already called dealer I purchased from and they said they have no loaners. I need a car @Ford Motor Company
just happened to me this morning. got the alert on my phone. ER Purchased in September. Called dealer and no loner. I need a car. This is really not OK for a 90K car after 3 months @Ford Motor Company
So, my mobile charger faults out when on scheduled charging because it's in the high 30s or low 40s early in the morning. It will not work unless I bring the mobile charger in the house for an hour so it can warm up and then plug in and instant charge. @Ford Motor Company Sounds like this thing...
Plug and Charge works Flawlessly on EA chargers for me. But 250 KW was not much. I wish ford rewarded us with a 1+ years of free charging like other car manufactures. It is kind of embarrassing when you talk to others at EA chargers about this when they ask how much free charging you get. Lucid...
I have no idea. All I really know is what the work order said. Last week they torqued everything in the front to spec and the clicking went away but Ford told them to replace the front axles. All my clicking was in the front.
It took me about 3 weeks of complaining and having my car at the dealer numerous times but finally everything is good to go. Truck is quiet on starts and stops and all clicking noises are gone. I appreciate Ford and the mechanics at the dealer for being patient with me.
Nope. Had our electrician do it. We also had to upgrade our electric panel from 100 to 200 because Tesla did not want to do that for us a couple years back. So far everything is working ok. Had all this done about 2 weeks ago.
