Sorry guys for the late response. It turns out that at least 5 of the charge stations were not working. I grabbed a plug that was just being used by a Tesla owner right after he finished charging. It worked like normal. Not sure why that was the only one responding. I'm at my 4th Tesla super...
Ok, I'm at my first charge place, Tesla Super Charge Station and I've tried 4 out of the 12 Charge stations, and all 4 i keep getting CHARGE STATION FAULT message. I tried all 4 stations with both A2Z (old adapter which always worked flawlessly) and the new Ford adapters, and they both keep...
I paid for one month of AVRP, but it still won't load on my truck's screen. I then opened the ABRP, just using Google Maps and that loads up on the screen. I'm thinking I wasted my $4.99, when it looks like Google Maps did the same thing.
Having trouble
So, Plug share does what ABRP does, without paying a premium?
Do you use any apps that loads on your Lightning display screen when on road trips, or do you just load it and look in your phone?
Thanks guys.
We are going on a road trip from Cleveland OH to Orlando FL, and I wanted to load ABRP on the display in my Lariat. I thought it would load and operate just like Waze does, but I was a bit disappointed when the message popped up saying... Subscribe to premium account, or something like that. On...
I have considered doing this with one of my fobs but never got around to doing it. I figure a few wraps of aluminum foil around it should do the trick?
Did you create a passcode to start truck in an emergency? I have had to do that several times over the last 19 months because I didn't have phone or fob with me. Always have door keycode and passcode memorized and ready for events like this.
I'm still having my Samsung Galaxy S23 disconnect while I'm on the road going out of town. My Waze shows up and performs flawlessly and then it suddenly shows S23 disconnected. After looking around, I had 2 names for my truck. I named her MISSY early on and for some reason, the name Lightning...
I thought I read somewhere that that timeline would probably get pushed back because of the extensive investigation about the death involved with the Ford owner while using BC. I wouldn't hold my breath very long. 🤫
The dealer said that the BMS needs replaced and they ordered one. They kept it overnight and got it to update without replacing the BMS. They said that the part won't be here tomorrow and they would install it when it gets here.
Oh, by the way, the SOC shows up in the cluster now!
I used my new smart charger and soon after I hooked it up, it showed that the batteries were already close to full. After only about 15 minutes, the charger stopped and said FULL. After that, I reset the BMS and the battery icon flashed 3 times and I pushed the start button again. I then Set up...
I'm weary of using that old charger that I swore by for decades... I keep having visions of something bad happening to my batteries, so I bought this 20 Amp Lithium "Smart" Battery Charger. Amazon will deliver it overnight. Do you guys this this will work ok? I just don't trust that old charger...
Thank you for this info!
With today's technology, you would think that the truck would tell you why the OTAs are failing. The same goes for when not trying to OTA update. There should be a 12v battery gage somewhere in the dash cluster... or at least a warning alert if the battery dips below...
I thought about that after reading through the thread but it looks like that charging it up didn't solve some people's problem either. I also had an extra 12 volt lithium battery added in parallel to accommodate the current draw that my advanced audio system demands. Hopefully they are...
