  1. F150 Lightning FORscan thread

    Yep, don't change those
  2. F150 Lightning FORscan thread

I have noticed it down the center but it's less obvious, to the sides is certainly more obvious. Mine disables in specific segments, if I had to guess I would say maybe 10 or so separate sections that turn on and off
  3. F150 Lightning FORscan thread

I enabled glare free before my truck received its first update, mine have always been abrupt. Each segment immediately disables and then will fade back in very quickly. The bending is smooth and rapid.
  4. Connected with CarScanner...now what?

I plan to do some efficiency measurements when changing things, using the rich data provided, but right now is just getting baselines and understanding how the truck works. On the other hand I did purposely charge from 50% to 100% last night to determine the module voltage Ford tops the system...
  5. Is there a way to make all four windows roll down with your key fob?

My guess is beacause the rear windows are not equipped with the anti-pinch safety. This is to keep a hand or finger from getting chopped off. The fronts do have that feature.
  6. Adaptive headlights not working after headlight change

Not sure if there is a menu setting but if you research the FORSCAN settings you change for Glare Free you will find the ones for bending lights. So, yes, but you may need forscan
  7. Adaptive headlights not working after headlight change

Did you save the LDCMA/B from your old headlight? If so I might try writing your old LDCMA/B to the new light. (not sure if left/right is A or B). If you DO have an old save from the LDCM for fun I would compare it against the old save from the other side, and then also against the LDCM config...
  8. Issue With Glare Free

Sorry, the Green "A" is the proper one for glare free, not white, that is normal on/off auto high beam. Yours is also a weird distance from the light icon in the bottom left. Make sure it is on the A when driving, the blue high beam is straight high beam, not glare free. When I had codes I...
  9. Issue With Glare Free

The changes you made to the APIM were in part turning on the switch. do you get a white A on your dash when the high beams are on? also make sure your center camera is not obsteucted
  10. Lightning FORScan HCM spreadsheet

I wonder how many VINs motorcraft let's you run through their website...
  11. Lightning FORScan HCM spreadsheet

I know enough about software programming to be a problem, but not enough to actually do it. If there was a way to collect lots and lots (and lots) of As Built files it would be possible to look for patterns in the data to try and determine just that. I expect cross comparison would work...
  12. Lightning FORScan HCM spreadsheet

Tried that too, threw a bunch of errors due to lacking wheel height sensors
  13. Lightning FORScan HCM spreadsheet

Save, save, and save again. With OTA updates and the fact our trucks push our current values back to the Ford servers as "factory" make SURE you have save files. Save everything when you first start, every module. Then save the module you are changing BEFORE you make any changes. Then save the...
  14. Lightning FORScan HCM spreadsheet

I have tried and it doesn't work, it also disables auto headlights, glare free, and dynamic bending. I'm assuming that we need some bits set elsewhere for it to work, probably from the camera module. Hopefully someday we can get those off of a foreign truck.
  15. FORSCAN opening itself and browser windows

Multiple times now I have had all apps shut off, and when I go to my computer FORSCAN is running and a browser window is open. As SOON as I interact with the computer all if it immediately disappears. Anyone else observe this behavior?
  16. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

USB SSDs having higher speeds than Flash drives was bonkers to me, but looks to generally be correct. I did see this guide that highlights very fast "Thumb" drives for those that want a smaller solution. Although it looks like a couple of these are just m.2 SSDs in stick form...
  17. Map based dynamic bending lights

Forscan experts... The HCM has an option for Map based dynamic lights, camera based dynamic lights, or both map and camera based dynamic bending lights. From the Ford Europe videos this seems to enable for more dynamic bending rather than just following the wheel. Here is an old video on one...
  18. FORSCAN best practices and procedures?

To be honest, this is a bit of my concern. That is a really good tutorial on HOW to use FORSCAN, but in a quick scan it appeared they didn't recommend saving the module until AFTER they had made changes. With out trucks getting OTA updates, and worse sending the on-vehicle As Built data BACK it...
  19. FORSCAN best practices and procedures?

As the experienced hands well know FORSCAN is a powerful tool but is a bit like trimming a bonsai tree with a chainsaw. Being a newby I didnt have a good procedure for using forscan but am working on it. That said, how do you use forscan? When and how do you do saves? What is your folder...
  20. F150 Lightning FORscan thread

Reset all modules back to factory, still the same issue. Pulled the battery, still same issue. Then realized I was a dummy and hadn't cleared the DCTs...got the white "auto" lights icon back on the IPC at least, will have to drive it tomorrow to see if it's back to factory
