  1. Charge Station EV conversion to $4.50 per gallon @18mpg

I paid $0.61/kw on a trip to Houston a week ago at an EVGO. Tesla was 12 miles down the road at $0.41 but the EVGO was right next door to our hotel. but as usual, it pays to shop around!
  2. Why can't Ford get it right?

I've found the GOM to be pretty accurate... once you've driven it for a few thousand miles and if there are significant miles on the highway. And IF you use plug in your destination to the Ford NAV. ABRP works for the same reason but ABRP doesn't have the advantage of knowing your trucks...
  3. 2024 Lariat - Heat Not Working Well

I didn't read all of these posts but while perusing the forum I found a post from a guy in Alaska who has a '22 Lariat and a Mach E. His experience is that the Lariat heater will make it comfortable even at negative 40 degrees! I'm in Arkansas and we get to the teens and my heater has worked...

  6. Charge Station EV conversion to $4.50 per gallon @18mpg

We don't need any more regulations!!!!!! Shop around. Saturday I paid $0.61/kw. 12 miles down the road it was $.47/kw. It was worth more because the .61kw DCFC was right next door to my hotel. The other factor is speed. Time is money and while the DCFC down the road might have been...
  7. Tesla adds longer cables and more to Superchargers as non-Tesla EVs complicate things

I pulled into a Tesla station a few days ago and immediately started parallel parking to access the short cord. But then I noticed the stations were in front of the curb, not behind. We could pull in straight but, of course in the eyes of a Tesla owner, still taking up two stalls.

I'm retired. I don't commute. :):):) Apologies to those that have to. your day will come!
  9. Ford Launches New Electric Road Trip Hub Site

It would be nice if the Ford Nav would recognized compatible Tesla chargers, but currently on my 2023 Lariat it doesn't.
  10. Tesla Superchargers in Ford NAV screen gone

just made a 700 mile round trip to Houston (actually 60 miles north of Houston) The Ford Nav does not show the Tesla chargers anymore. They were there a month ago, but not anymore. They do show up on the Public Charging app. but that doesn't help me plan a trip. I ended up using ABRP...
  11. Wheel Well Liner Misshapen/Misaligned

My 2023 has the same problem. I took it into my dealer. The body shop last week. They examined it and believe that the front bumper is mis-aligned. Dealer has submitted claim to to approve the fix under warranty. Mine is the right front wheel well . I'll report here what happens next. I...

  13. Throne for my dog!

Izzo loves his Lightning Throne. he can see out even when lying down! I did have to lock the rear window controls but the rear seat heater console controls are out of reach luckily. 1/2" plywood. supports are out of cedar so the whole thing is very lightweight. the bed mat came from...
  14. Where are the replacement adapters???

Yippee! replacement adaptor arrived today. no email just showed up. just in time. Am taking a trip to Houston Friday which, without the adaptor, we'd be making in my wife's ICE car. for the record my original order was #1568 and is identical to the original.
