Don't be afraid to ask stupid questions. I've had my 2023 Lariat SR for a year now and I'm still asking stupid questions on this forum. Everybody is too nice on this forum to call me an idiot (yet). I appreciate that and all of the good advice that I've been getting here.
How do you know they are demos? Mileage? I saw one of them said "In-Service FCTP." Yeah, that's a demo.
This is the one I looked at. It reportedly has 110 miles. https://www.familyfordinc.net/new/Ford/2022-Ford-F-150+Lightning-ec150a9b0a0e087f0db8dbb60b473333.htm
I'm curious why it hasn't sold.
According to Cars.com, 7 new 2022 Lightnings are for sale. Wasn't that the year people were paying stupid money above MSRP to get one?
Is anybody else shocked by this? Or do I just need get out more?
That's interesting. For me, the rear window is a deal breaker, hence the Lariat. I use it three seasons for ventilation and occasionally for hulling lumber and pipes. I slide them through the rear window and they rest against the tailgate.
Lots of good questions and analysis.
My 2 cents worth is that I will not consider anything less than a Lariat due to some of those features you named.
One correction: The later 2024 Lariat builds as well as all 2025 Lariats no longer come with leather seats. Ford found another way to cut costs...
Regardless of the vehicle, my general policy is to trade, sell, or give away (to one of my kids) after 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The reality is that I wind up keeping them much longer.
Please help me to understand why my trips at around 70 degrees use a significant amount of energy for "exterior temperature." I don't race around with this thing. I drive like an old man. This trip is 13% at 73 degrees.
This one is 18% at 65 degrees. And 0% accessories? I had the headlights on.
