Thanks for the reply.
Oh trust me... I know traction and performance sucks in all vehicles in those temps. I am not looking to race someone (at least not at -40) lol... I am just wanting to be able to get back home. It's relieving that you think that the power reduction will be "moderate"...
So this is my first winter with my lightning and I don't get what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm way up north in Canada. An average winter day is -20C (-4F) a really cold day is -40C (-40F). At home, I have heated garage and everything is fine. But I go to work in remote areas where I park my...
Not a problem... I overreacted... Just had flooding memories of someone keying my previous truck and replied too soon. Should have drank some coffee before I posted. All good...
Pretty sucky that happened. I am just sticking to hand washing... I've heard too many horror stories about automatic car washes.
But your comment about "lightly" vandalizing caught me off guard. After telling us how expensive the mirrors are, I am not so sure I would call it "lightly". I am...
I never thought of that. I was always told not to use your A/C below freezing because you can damage it. But I was told that for my home A/C. I just assumed that would apply to my cars A/C as well. It would make sense that a vehicle's A/C is more robust to handle extremes like that though...
Yes, anytime you need to get rid of humidity in warm or cool weather, A/C with recirc is the way to go. Sometimes I have my A/C and my heat on at the same time. But when it drops below freezing, I don't think running the A/C is a good idea. DatOleMan said, to turn the recirc on because it...
I've owned a plug in hybrid for almost 10 years and would never buy one again. We use it primarily as an EV but then are forced to deal with all the ICE issues as others have mentioned. Gas gets stale pretty quick so you are forced to consume it. You also need to do oil changes, rad flushes...
Thanks... Exactly. I was just clarifying so that everyone knows that if someone says they are order #261 here, it doesn't mean they are actually the 261st adapter that was shipped in Canada. It could have been just 2 that were sent out. Just thought your "wow" was a bit condescending.
I am not sure why the "wow" was necessary. My point was, for us Canadian's with order numbers way out there, these initial numbers don't really give us a true indication of where they are at. The first Canadian order could have been 28, the 2nd order could have been 261 and the 3rd one after...
If the order numbers include both US and Canada, they are not following the order numbers then. Galctus55 above was order 28 and Bullite was order 261 and they just received them now. As far as I know, no Canadian orders were sent until now so they must be separating them some way.
How do you guys know what position you're in? My order number is 90114057. So it can't be by the order number. They didn't sell 114 000 lightnings in Canada, that's for sure. Also, did you guys get the Tesla adapter or the other 3rd party one?
I definitely see an improvement in efficiency in sport mode over normal mode. It's probably due to the slightly more aggressive regen. Instead of coasting and braking in Normal, I am assuming it sits in regen for a few seconds longer each time I brake. I think you will notice this more if you...
Don't think it's a Chevy/Ford thing. The Ford dealership closest to me has one the fastest chargers in the entire city and the chevy dealership doesn't even have one available to the public. I believe it has more to do on how forward thinking the dealerships owner/management are. Some are...
I also want to clarify. I am not implying that there have been any issues using FDRS and/or FORScan. but just because you never had or aren't aware of any issues, doesn't mean a conflict can't or won't happen in a future update. An update could always check to see if a certain parameter is...
So do you change them back before you apply every software update? If Not, how do you know if Ford's update is not making some of the same changes that you already applied. If you have a problem and switch everything back, then those settings would now be wrong too because you are turning...
Those look great! I wonder if that fits over the leather seats too. I have a platinum and love the look of my seats but the white gets dirty so fast (I use my truck for work). I am constantly cleaning my seats and I am afraid that I am going to dry them out that way. If I decide to sell my...
I have a Canadian 23 Platinum and don't have it either. So I don't think it's a trim thing. They must have been caught from some Canadian authority and told to turn them off here too.
I would really love to have the matrix lighting too but I don't want to mess around with software...
If you have the VIN, I would give it a try. I am not really sure how the ownership rights work exactly. The first time I set it up, It didn't ask me anything other than the VIN. Which I guess made me the primary owner. When I set up my wife's phone after that, it needed to get permission...
You need to get the ford pass app and need to link it up to your lightning. You need the VIN and ownership rights to set it up though so I am not sure if you can do it up before you actually own the truck. You need to this in order for the charging stations to speak to truck which then also...
