Slightly OT: Why does changing modes interrupt any Carplay/android music that might be playing?
But yeah, FORD seems to be overridden with lawyers or fear of regulation - This is an iconic vehicle - it is THE quintessential poster child for American Freedom - it is an F150 after all - and...
Did you get the $115 on top of some other infraction, or did you get pulled over because five-oh saw your dark windows and thought "That guy's breakin' the law" - because if it's the latter, then you're gonna still get pulled over if you figure out a way to tint your glass without film. Cop's...
Yeah, let's not talk about the CT. There's a learning curve to each brand of driver assist and as the OP pointed out, even differences with the same brand sometimes.
The learning curve for me on the Lightning is still going on( 2 yrs now) where the Tesla I pretty much had figured out in a few...
Thankfully no!
I do see value of driver assist features like blue cruise, supercruise, FSD, Etc...
On the Ford, with BlueCruise enabled, it shifts one mental workload for another and they are not equal - meaning, on a long trip, it takes some of the driving workload away from me, but that is...
It's more stressful to drive with nanny mode on. When my free BluesClues trial expires in a few months, Ford expects me to start paying them so I can be scolded. Something doesent sit right about that. Like road rage, but at my own car lol.
Having driven Teslas autopilot, I have to say thier...
FWIW, I'm OK with OP using this thing - just check up on the plug FREQUENTLY.
I've had a LEGIT brand (GE) charger melt the outlet. Someone noted "cheap Home Depot" outlet - yeah, best to get something better than consumer grade 14-50R, but even then, check those contacts - unplug ang plug it...
When I use my fordpass app to show my trucks location, it always shows parked it my home driveway. Other features of the app work, but the location is wrong. Maybe I am expecting it to show the trucks location and not it's home location.
On my daily commute, I drive on a 1 mile section of road that runs beneath a beautiful canopy of old oak trees, home to squadrons of trained squirrel accorn wielding bombadeers. The acorns they drop from 20 ft are not hard enough to crack the windshield but do manage to dent the aluminum frunk...
Few options..
1. Piece of heavy duty black duct tape.. Not ideal, I know.
2. A thin small black coarse head screw, maybe a drywall screw or thinner - hand screw it in the corner opposite the hinge. It'll keep the flap shut without damage and when you need to use the pocket, just twist it out.
I noticed after a recent software update that a lot of chargers I use regularly are not showing up, and a lot more Ford dealers.
After drilling into menus on the NAV app, I saw that the default was set to "Ford network only". Unchecked that box and selected "roaming chargers" and now I see...
One additional thought, what happens if you are *actually* incapacitated/passed out during BC session? Does it go back to regular mode, or does it slow down and gently pull over and put the hazards on like Tesla?
I agree with OP - 5 seconds is too short.
BC does not account for peripheral vision, which is superior to detecting moving things - that tech is just not there yet.
They are really the only 2 options where I road-trip, so OK, "Dualopoly" :) If I ever receive my Ford NACS adapter, then I can look at Tesla prices (just one Magic-dock in my route) .
Either way, I know the F150 is not super efficient when it comes to MPG-E, but it still smarts when I can...
I think FORD did right by not pursuing the BEV Expedition. Could they have done it? Sure - look at the F150 Lightning - excellent job there - and they used it as a platform to collect valuable data for the T3.
If they electrified the Expedition the same way they did the F150, it would be...
