I wouldn't change a thing. I certainly don't have any Cybertruck envy, because that Tesla is a steaming pile of garbage with the kind of freefall depreciation that makes a Lightning look like a 401k. The Lightning literally does everything better.
I don't know how old your son is, but in our...
If you activate the charger through the Tesla app first, it will use your membership. Plug-n-charge will still work, ie. You don't have to disable it.
If you just plug in, you won't get the special member pricing. The same is true for EA and other networks.
Dynamically, the Silverado sucks to drive compared to the Lightning and consistently loses to the Ford in reviews. The Chevy is just too heavy
You’re not going to see 350kw charging with a 400V electrical system. Truth be told, the Lightning’s charging curve isn’t bad at all for a 400V EV...
I am totally fine with the staged rollouts. Stability is more important to me when it comes to a car, truck, or motorcycle. I don't want to be a Beta tester -- I want everything to just work.
I don't think that the Tesla model of constantly breaking/updating things is a good one for something...
No need for FOMO. I haven’t gotten yet for my 2023 Lariat ER. I consistently get the updates a couple months later than the early crew.
My last update was the improved connectivity update back in October.
I don't know how the engineers working at other truck manufacturers have the strength/will to get out of bed every morning to compete with F-series trucks.
I've put thousands of miles on Silverados and Ram trucks. When it comes to my own money, it's always Ford. They just nail the details that...
With a 23 Lariat ER, now I wait.
Given that I have about 3000 miles of roadtripping on deck in January, looking forward forward to BC 1.4 arriving before then.
The adapter produced by Tesla is so janky that I wouldn't pay actual cash money for it.
As a FREE adapter, sure, fine, but it's not well made and feels like Tesla squeezed every last penny of margin out of it. Heck, it doesn't even come with a protective case.
Norway is colder than most of the US and they don't have problems using EVs in the cold.
Keeping your truck plugged into a Level 2 charger goes a long way.
I did 3+ hours of highway driving this morning with temps in the low 20s, driving 65-70 and still saw a convincing 200 mile-ish range with...
I enabled the setting to have them auto fold whenever I lock the truck. Gives me a nice indicator that the truck is indeed locked and keeps them out of harms way.
Sorry to hear about your experience.
The official Tesla made adapter feels like they've squeezed every possible penny of margin out of it. It feels cheap and janky. It's unsurprising that Ford would switch to purpose built Lectron unit.
If you want to help A2Z, do destroy your first gen adapter as instructed. Those confirmations...
If you're lucky, you might even get a Free Ford-branded Lectron adapter. The Tesla made adapters are janky. There was already a batch given to Ford owners that was recalled -- recall even impacted some Magic Dock locations.
If you need an adapter right now, I'd pick up the A2Z. They make a...
