The adapter is not noticeable. It's hidden inside the unit in a very clean design. There are instructions on how to press one button and expose the adapter.
Rockport Maine has 8 super chargers. And Falmouth Maine has 8 super chargers. There have never been more than 3 other cars at either of those when I use them.
Adaptor arrived. A few points:
Weight: It weighs the exact same amount as the old one.
Part Number: The part number for the BAD adapter is 1434343-00-D
Return Date: It says we need to return the old one by November 11th. Something tells me that they expected to ship this to me month's ago...
Based on your post, I checked the link on my email from Ford. Same result. "Not yet available. Check back later." This, even though the package has already been delivered to me. Ford, you MUST improve your shipping. It's an embarrassment.
Mine arrived via FedEx this AM. But the "It's just been shipped" email arrived 6 hours after the adapter arrived. Ford should hire someone from Amazon to tell them how to ship stuff; this isn't rocket science!
My order was number 5299.
I bought a case for the old one which I'll now need to...
Yes, I feel the same way. Of the long list of benefits you listed, the only one that I don't use is the One Pedal. I've tried it a few times and I just don't like it. But I don't have to use it, so that's great. It's not forced on me. You put up a great list of reasons why the Lightning is...
TL;DR but a great summary at the start of the article:
Ford Motor Company U.S. retail sales gain 17% in Q4, driving full-year 2024 retail gains of 6% - twice the rate of the estimated overall retail industry
Total Ford electrified vehicle sales (hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric) hit a record...
She had me at 3:20 when she says (about the Chevy), "I do not like the way this vehicle drives at all." I LOVE to drive the Lightning. I'd never consider buying a vehicle where I did "not like the way the vehicle drives." And CarPlay is deal change for me. Must have it.
Mach Turtle, thanks for the information. However, "computer fiddling" and any tech-related "adventures" are beyond my capabilities. Interstingly, I've made a living from tech, starting with selling computers to banks in 1973. But I've never really understood the "inner workings" of the tech...
Thanks for the tip. I don’t have Forscan — I don’t have access to a PC; we’re a Mac family— but I will ask the dealer to do that next time I have it in.
I've stopped waiting for Dog Mode. I've had the truck for over 2.5 years and I -- and others -- have told Ford we want Dog Mode. But now I believe it's never coming. But here is a simple work around:
AC / Heat On: Be sure AC is set to “Auto” and to, say, 73 degrees.
Truck On: Leave the Truck...
TaxmanHog, my Ford adapter was recalled. I made sure the address was correct in my account. And I've heard nothing from Ford about when the replacement should arrive. Two questions, if I may. 1. Do you have any word on the status of the replacement adapters? 2. If need be, can I still use...
Why do you continue to ignore all the folks here who are taking their time to explain the situation? The baseline is not 300 miles. The baseline is 131 kWh. kWh, not miles. How many miles 131 kWh equates to is determined by the m/Kw you will get in that drive. And the m/Kwh on that drive...
