  1. Services for remote climate start & charge monitoring failed today

Thanks Taxmanhog, I'll give that a try but currently charging and I know anything that deviates will do something stupid to my stats with the CSP and with in the app too. One time I was charging out in the wild and while sitting in the truck I was doing some charge stop searches in the app and...
  2. Services for remote climate start & charge monitoring failed today

Well the 5.11.0 on my android is showing what I consider bloat ads... This just showed up this morning. And like many Ford issues now they want me to buy blue oval network access
  3. Where’s the savings!!!!

I'm from the same state, national grid customer. Yes, perhaps the cost is around 8 cents per kwh but that is NOT in including the delivery charges and fees and taxes for each kw. The actual cost per kwh out of pocket is around 21.5 cents. Sometimes it up to a tad over 22 cents per kwh... Depends...
  4. Heated steering wheel barely gets warm

I agree that it is not hot enough. Now this would be a great OTA to add a setting to everyone's infotainment system... You can adjust on screen when you tap the HVAC shortcut for driver only heat/on/off Low, medium and high would suffice, where low is the current level and high is at the top...
  5. Ford Resumes Shipping NACS Charging Adapters (February 2025 batch)

Adapter has landed. Based on the date code it was manufactured end of October.
  6. FordPass 5.10.1 (Android) Public Charging Fix

The new app version has a possible glitch. I activated a chargepoint L2 commerical charger out in the wild, to unlock the handle and to charge. It worked and I could view the energy tab delivery rate and such and even stopped the charge using the Ford app, BUT it is not registering the charge...
  7. We need a snow driving mode

Nothing is as good as the driver's sensibilities with planning trips, using proper following distances, and simply not driving like a jerk and respecting what you are operating. Now to 1pd and snow mode. Our first EV venture is a Kia ev6 AWD that is rear biased with a bigger motor. With its 4...
  8. Ford Resumes Shipping NACS Charging Adapters (February 2025 batch)

81,2## shipped. Ordered March 29th. Back on Dec 31st I stated only another 42k more to go to.... They are cranking these out.
  9. Oil used in motor/axle/differential assembly

Note the pour point temp... I speculate this is why the motor temp gauge doesn't really deviate from middle as seen with the excellent work by TaxmanHog, who's purposely cold soaking his ride. As others have also noted at even much lower temps the same lack of motor temp gauge deviation.
  10. TripleAliners First Giveaway – Don’t Miss Out! And Enjoy 15% Discount with "HappyDay"⚡️🎁

I have been looking for a bed mat. Truck came with a spray in liner but items slide around too easily and shifts during transport, even when properly secured. My solution is I have been using old cargo rubber mats from our past SUV vehicles. The biggest one I own is from our GMC Yukon XL...
  11. TurboTax Lowest Price of the Year, today only

Yes, received the upcoming sneak preview sales email for January. It states Jan 18th is when the sale for the software will begin. Edit.... I forgot to add this was for Sam's club.
  12. TurboTax Lowest Price of the Year, today only

@mrau Not exactly. That's the cost for deluxe with state. The 10$ is a coupon to purchase additional software features... But I could be wrong. My state has free e-file.
  13. Ford Resumes Shipping NACS Charging Adapters (February 2025 batch)

Update. It still has not arrived. :brokenheart: Only ~42k more to go. :cwl:. So did Ford :lying: when they said it was a mistake when they accidently sent an estimated ship date of January 2025? NO! Because at this rate it will be around August. It's at a pace of about ~8k per month vs. the 8k...
  14. EZ-PASS NY not reading on windshield

I have had NO issues with mine. I was going to say it's probably a weak transponder battery issue. Mine is installed on the upper windshield to the right of the shading dots on the passenger side. I do not know if are enrolled in one of the commuter plans, there is one for New Rochelle... I'm...
  15. Lariat Drivers seat ‘unhooked’

I probably had a much easier time because the fabric has some give and can stretch. If it's the same clip that's shaped like an upside down "J", I would suggest if you have access to long reach needle nose pliers, to use those. It should even be easier with a second person to push on the seat...
  16. Lariat Drivers seat ‘unhooked’

Very timely, I too was vacuuming today and also noticed the "white clip" dangling down on the cloth powered XLT seats. I adjusted/raised the back bottom seat up, took the clip, flipped it up 180 degrees placing the longer lip over to the inside of metal frame edge. I figured it will keep...
  17. Averaging 1.5 mi/kwh @ 32 degrees down from 1.8 mi/kwh last year.

Tire tread depth is most likely your culprit. Even with the same exact tire as a replacement, worn tires are more energy efficient because they have less rolling resistance. That's my 2 cents. No change required.
  18. It's All About the Delta (and Temperature, but the BMS will Protect You) -- Test: Effect of temperature on battery cells life

Let me clarify for all of you. Blah blah blah, just drive the vehicle and enjoy it for at least 8 years and/or 100k miles. Then if the wheels fall off put it up on blocks and use it for house battery back up.
  19. Charge Station EV conversion to $4.50 per gallon @18mpg

I tell the EV naysayers all the time, yes you are correct, EVs are NOT for everyone, especially if you have to charge out in the wild (outside of free and your home). But why do I have two evs at home? Well because I planed for it 5.5 years ago when solar was dirt cheap, after all incentives...
