Early ā22 delivery Lariat with 72k miles and running strong with last deep analysis of pack SOH at 95.5% and a LOT of supercharging sessions. Only major issue Iāve had is 5 replacements of the rear lightbar.
Bummed you had to go thru this issue but appreciate you sharing. Itās folks like you on these forums that help collect valuable information and archive it for all. !
Great ideas! Reminds me of our shore power on our Engines. Wish I could but my old girl lives outside unfortunately. With modern cars the size they are, you would think a home built in the last 15 years would have a garage big enough to fit a 1/2 Ton pickup! Oh well
Loved the truck from day one July ā22. Quickly realized that the Shitty DCFC network pre Tesla Was going to be an issue as I commute 500+ miles to work and back. It got so bad that I began second guessing my decision. Then Ford spearheaded the NACS agreement. Since then, my Joy for this truck...
I did not have to remove the bumper either. As @Electric Marine said. Would have been easier to get the center most screws out but I was able to bent the plastic around the bottom of the cent opening and use a ratcheting wrench to get the few center screws out. PITA but possible
Sadly I was suspicious of this too as it seemed very odd for the same part to fail so often. I marked this last bar before replacement for confirmation. As for the secondary parts needing replacement, I was told that was why it is/was so expensive
So being one of the āearly adoptersā the representation from ford on this forum has helped several times! Most recently (and Hopfully Iām an isolated incidentā my rear light bar got water in it for the 4th time! In two years. I live in AZ so it doesnāt rain much. That said, took it to the Dealer...
I understand that the camber is there for a reason but I think the larger tires exacerbates it. Iām looking to add a small lift myself to correct it as there is no actual adjustment for camber in the rear. Only toe
It does in fact work but what we were thinking was the DRL being the lightbar is incorrect, the DRL values that are changing are actually
The light in the middle
Of the top and bottom headlights. The lightbar does not get any brighter than it is unfortunately.
Pulled 182 at a Tesla supercharger I use regurarly. Same charger in all past charging sessions maxāed at 170
@TaxmanHog my peak hold before @170 was around 5-10 minutes @ 40%soc starting. Today @182. Held it for 10-15 minutes.
Didnāt realize that the stage one kit they have now was only for the ER models. Stance looks killer! Also the slight lift in the rear appears to correct the camber issue when going to larger tires. š¤š¼
Looks like a slightly updated design but the metal rail shape looks generally the same. It was a while ago but if I recall. The foam was not installed on my rails and in the packaging. I really donāt think itās necessary to be honest. I would say remove it and try again. Worst case a little...
