Eventually, all your asbuilt data is sent to the cloud, all modules. If the system throws a wobbly because you've colored outside the lines with the IPMA module it will show a GVMS warning in FDRS to note the there's an issue with the data. GVMS data warnings in FDRS, as stated in the program...
Well the BMS sensor is a part replacement. Takes 5 mins. And yes it will help with updates because it gives a more accurate state of charge reading to the BCM...which means the SOC will not be reading "low", which in turn tends to keep the logic from applying updates (like when it gets below 80%...
It's a software update to the IPMA and PSCM.
That's it.
But the IPMA part of the script never worked right from when the update was originally released (months ago) and in order to fix the problem, after you were returned to the available software menu with the update 'supposedly...
These are the OTA notes for that update on your '23 model.
This update enhances your vehicle's software performance, providing a smoother and more consistent connected experience.
ECG-24.2.5.7
My '22 model has a different revision of the gateway software than what you got via OTA.

GWM, APIM, TCU, and the IPC (with exceptions) are USB-based updates.
And all of them should be done before anything else in the list is attempted as a 'best practice' to avoid software dependencies from causing updates to fail.
I realize that shop service techs do not necessarily follow...
Delete your charging schedules. The delete your home location in Nav. While parked at home re-save your Home location and then plug the truck in. After it charges you should be able to then establish a new schedule for that location with the time and limits you want. There have been OTAs in the...
The GWM is a USB-based update. It's not CANbus based. You'll need a 32GB (or larger) USB (3.2 gen1 preferred) drive formatted to exFat, 'Default Allocation Size', and with a short name like "Sync" or "Ford", etc.
FDRS got a minor update yesterday from 43.6.3 to 43.6.5.
Here's the link to download the update. It's a minor update so no need to "Remove User Data" during the setup.
This update added a form that dealer techs need to fill out to prove that they did the software updates that whatever FSA they...
Just noticed this morning that I had a new gateway update available (which is always welcome as it normally leads to other things getting updated). It could have shown up in the last few days, but I only checked this morning so....
I like USB-based updates...don't need to drag out the PL6100...
Well, they could start by re-reading the TSB. It says right in there what they need to do.
Step 11.
But apparently it's 'rocket-surgery' for many of these folks....
Well there’s all of those considerations plus the fact that Ford still hasn’t told their techs that this IPMA/PSCM script is broken, and unless you know to separately run the IPMA Configuration tool in FDRS afterwards you’ll likely end up with a partially completed update that will result in you...
Safety Recall 24S76 - Certain 2023-2024 F-150 Lightning Battery Electric Vehicles - Upper Control Arm Ball Joint Nut Replacement
Okay, so NOW the full recall has been released as of this morning (5 Feb '25). Number of vehicles went down by 2 (I assume they've already fixed those as part of the...
Not saying this happened to you, but there was a report several years ago by somebody on one of the forums (ICE F-150?) where they had bought a Mongoose from Amazon (they thought they had anyway) and it wasn't working....and they posted a picture of it finally after a lot of back and...
So from the time you successfully logged on, you've got cached credentials for around 8 hrs or so (might be longer, like 10 hrs). So if you close FDRS for some reason and need to relaunch, it won't ask for login and password until that time expires. I've never really timed it, but it normally...
