Similar for me. I’ve got about 12ish years with evs. I do agree that ev’s are not for everyone. I just think blanket statements like that can paint an unfair picture about evs. But discussion like this is really good (even if we don’t agree) especially for new people like the OP to help get an...
I’m assuming you must have a SR? I have a ER and coming out of Michigan winter my range charged to 80-85% was in the upper 200’s. Again I used proper planning like always having it plugged in and using departure times which make quite a bit of difference.
Compared to which EV’s? The Silverado? Or cybertruck? They both get similar KWH per mile. And I have taken back roads and gone off the major interstates without issue. Again it just takes some pre planning. I would agree with your last sentence. A persons usage and location can play a role in...
I’ve gotta push back on what you said. This truck is a great road tripping vehicle. I’ve crossed the country twice and leaving tomorrow morning for Ca from MI. 100 mile radius? Try the whole country. lol. And I would not call it inefficient at all. It’s a truck. It’s not going to get the same as...
I do the same. Turn membership on and off as needed. I’m not a fan of EA either. The SC always seem to be cheaper and they just work. Much more consistent.
I found a kit that was supposed to be for an f150 (ice) and it works just as it should. The only thing I had to change in the truck side was the trailer plug. Changed from a 7/4 pin to the 7/12 pin and the plug for the 12 pin was tucked up behind the bumper so was all plug and play. Let me look...
Ok I had this same issue. The brain trust here figured it out. There is a setting in forscan on the APIM I think to default to 24hr. I changed that a few months ago and problem solved.
I would love to see some more data. Like weight of the trailer, speed and ave kWh. I like to nerd out of data. But I love seeing stories like this. Shows with a little pre planning it’s totally possible. 👍
Easier (but more expensive) option is to use the ford cam setup. Thats what I have. Camera shows on center screen and I have tire pressure and temperature of trailer tires on cluster.
I don’t think it exists. That button is where the remote start button is. I use my frunk a fair amount but I don’t even carry the key sometimes since I have PAAK. I just use the button for the frunk.
Walk away lock was already added in software. My 23 has it. I just had to turn it on with forscan. I think that’s all I’m missing on my 23 is the messaging seats. My lariat has the power running boards and every other option. I’d like to have those seats as I do cross country trips but just...
