My MY23 was one of the ones that had a hold on delivery after the fire at Ford in Feb '23. It sat at the transfer yard for 9 weeks at 70% soc. I've had zero issues to date. I think it dropped 3% over the 9 weeks it sat in the cold in Toronto.
As you have an ER, did you not get the FCSP that comes comp with any ER order? You wouldn't need to find else where to pay to fast charge. I'm very have with my FCSP and charge at 80 amps in the off hrs.
I wanted to thank you all for replying and lending your advice. This is why forums are great IMO.
So to update, I had missed rewiring the brown wire back through the second ring, thus causing the ground fault error. Pictured is the correct way I should done in the first place. I even took a...
Thanks Rick,
I'll revisit the wiring tonight. I'm using the recommended gauge (3/6 I believe it was) for 80A (100A breaker) DC charging and followed the instructions as per.
Yeah, I saw on the reservation portal that you could order the CSP so long as I had placed my production order.
Yes, work fine charging with our level 1 Toyota mobile cord.
So picked up the truck last night and plugged it into the CSP and right away the light reads in the left side blinking red. Manual says Ground Fault Error.
Anyone know why that might be? I've heard other say you have to use a public DC fast charger before attempting a fast charge at home??
Yes I've had no security issues as I do this with my wife's Tesla being plugged in for 16 hrs a night for 2 nights to top it up. I suspect as my drive in on Monday's is only 80 mi I'd be able to get away doing the same for 2-3 nights 12-16 hrs each night.
Thank you, I'll give it a shot. I live at work and I'd have it plugged in most of the week to get me home Friday night. I know it'll be slow but it's all I got to use for now.
Wandering if anyone has had success with this?
At my work, the closest 120v outlet is 70 ft away. I was thinking of a 12g extension cord to my mobile charge cord.
This is great to hear from someone that has actually received their "in transit" held truck! I'm so stoked to get mine. My patients are certainly getting a workout!
Thanks again!
Yeah, it's been in the rail yard since Feb 4. This is such a painful process. There's another dealer an hour from me that has my build, only difference is it has max tow. I'm on the fence if I should go for it instead.
Good luck with yours! I sure hope they're worth the wait!!
Hi all,
So my MY23 Lightning that has been held "In Transit" for the last 10 weeks out in the cold getting drained. I just learned today that my order hasn't even been inspected yet to release to the dealership or ship back to Dearborn to get a new pack.
My big question is. How will this 10...
