Ford changed the onboard charger for 2024 to 48A max for both Standard and Extended range. This shows up in the at home charging speeds. A shame really as you are trying to fill a battery that is almost 2x the size of the model Y at the same speed.
EDIT to add link...
not sure how you Lariat worked, but my 22 Platinum rips, maybe I need to try a Lariat. I believe overall, the Platinum is slightly slower than the Lariat due to the added weight.
Wonder if they are tuning the 24's differently with the energy pedal.
Congrats on the truck. Agree with...
This is a similar pet peeve of mine. I tell the dealer before I sign that they must remove all references showing their dealer (Stickers, license plate, etc) or credit me back $1000 for an advertising fee. I did this after the decal damaged one of my vehicles many years ago as I tried to...
This to me still seems silly 1 year after launch of the Tesla access. Tesla and Rivian nail this perfectly.
Also, anyone else have an issue with CarScanner showing an inaccurate SOC? Mine is off by as much as 5-7%.
I have the same VeePeak and it stopped working with ABRP for some reason. I went to the OBDLink CX and Paid for ABRP as the only real way to trip plan in the Lightning. Cannot with built in Navigation as it still cannot navigate to a Tesla charger, Apple Maps does not allow any customization...
I would 1000% agree. I love my Lightning and do my fair share of bashing, but Tesla software and updates are light years ahead of ford.
Being a tech person myself, I find it infuriating with Ford. Over 2.5 years into ownership, and I still cannot tell you the version of software or...
Yes, it is listed for the older trucks, but is the part number shown in my order confirmation and the front did fit on my truck. I used my FordPass rewards.
Hopefully it is more efficient than GM. I had originally ordered a Silverado EV First Edition. It rolled off the line 5/9/2024, marked ready to ship on 5/24/2024, marked awaiting shipment on 6/2/2024, arrived at the dealer 12/13/2024. I had long since moved on due to the quality issues...
Bought them on ford parts website:
This one I did for the front, the website says it does not fit, but the front does as far as I can tell with mine.

I have done this on several cars. I have not on my lightning, mainly because I updated my ford emblems with the black versions. the results are great and last for years in my case. My 21 Tesla MYP still has the one I did when I first got the car.
As previous poster stated, dust with many coats...
I am curious what small highways it works on. In my area here in Texas, BlueCruise is not available on many of the main highways in East Texas. In most of my drives on the highway, it is only available about 50% of the time. Where as in my Tesla, it is available on 100% of the roads I drive...
1000000% Agree here. As I tell people, Hybrids and especially Plug-in Hybrids are the worst of both worlds. The gains in efficiencies are minimal, yet you have all of the downsides of both platforms with ICE emissions, Oil changes, mechanical complexities, etc.
I get all of the concerns...
Ha! Definitely gave her a bit of coaching moving forward, but refrained from an all out rant. She had been trying to convince me to "give" her the truck when hers died, but that did not happen.
Looking to sell my 22" platinum wheels with lots of tread left and even wear on the tires. They had less than 17k miles on them. 2 of the wheels are curbed. That is what I get for letting my daughter drive my truck. In the photos, the top 2 bumped a curb and have surface damage. Contact me...
This is why the big OEMs are failing to gain significant market share. In order to navigate to a charging station, pre-condition the battery, etc, you must pay an extra fee. Finding a charging station is different from finding a gas station, but the OEMs do not understand that...
Whole heartedly agree. I am still on PU 6.8. I had an update failure end of August, nothing since. been at the dealer to update all of the modules, but no luck on anything since.
