Despite the clickbate headline, ev batteries hold up much better than the general public seem to realize
I occasionally get some messages on my infotainment screen when shutting down, and starting my 2023 SR PRO.
In addition to “f150 Lightning unblocked” when starting, I’ll also randomly receive “f150 Lightning saved” message when turning it off, as well as something about turning off to save the...
Just used that Ford supplied adapter for the first time a few minutes ago.
Work seamlessly. The Tesla app worked perfectly, little pricey, but well worth it. Charge curve was great, went right up to about 155KWh, stayed there until I hit 50% then dropped to 109. I unplugged at that point...
True, however, think of your entire house as an extension cord from the breaker box. Assuming connections are tight, there’s no reason using large enough wiring won’t be an issue in the correct circumstances.
As a general rule of thumb, I completely agree, you should not use an extension...
I power an air-conditioned shed, almost every weekend, and at night, with my lightning. I’ve been doing this for about a year. At peak with the air conditioner and fridge, I’m pulling about 6KW.
It requires absolutely nothing from me, other than activating the outlets once plugged in and...
In Florida, an accident with no injuries, exchanging insurance information is pretty standard. The police don’t need to be involved, as it’s a no fault state. If you wait for the police, all you’re doing is adding several hours to your day.
Once my truck received the update that shows battery % inside the battery meter on the dash, I disabled auto-updating, as well as a plethora of other auto-communication features.
Theoretically next decent update rolls out, I hear about it 6 months after it was originally unsuccessfully pushed...
Anyone that’s owned a trouble free ev understands this. But many people simply can’t wraps their heads around just how superb the driving experience is in an EV, and won’t understand until they own one. Sort of a catch 22.
But when the shift happens, it will happen suddenly. Then you’ll wish...
I’m a bit shocked, mine came in a couple days ago. No email alert, it just appeared.
Side note- a little heavier and a little smaller than I thought it would be for some reason. Very pleasantly surprised.
My Lighting gives this warning on occasion- but not early as often as my other vehicles with lane centering. My wife’s Jag is the worst- its lane centering is wildly annoying- it goes off every 5-10 minutes (at minimum) during normal interstate travel. A 6 hour road trip I have to disable it...
I hope they continue working, but don’t be surprised if they stop again. And start again. And stop again, etc.
If you ever get to the root cause, please share.
Thanks, you’re the only other person I’ve found with this issue.
That sounds pretty similar to what I experienced.
However, my issue was intermittent at first. Then the wipers stopped working altogether for about two months, then started working again and have never stopped working since then.
Every time I made an appointment, they would start working...
