Dredging up an old thread (most of the audio are)...question on the center speaker. Versus disconnecting it, can one ohm it down (up?) to lower the volume, or possibly replace with another speaker with said alternate ohm/resistance to reduce the output power?

The post right above yours explains it (post 17). You can enable it in FORScan now - it toggles back off after a few seconds when the BCM still needs updating (by dealer or OTA).

The "check now" I have only seen twice on the vehicle and I think it was only after Sync resets I did after buying the truck (or doing FDRS updates on my own). It is not shown on-screen/selectable 99% of the time. It was stated earlier that 1AM is a schedule to install, not check for updates...

This is a known issue, I too had them a few weeks back when I did my first go-round. It is stated a few times in this thread.

Hmm, thanks for the suggestions - that changes the approach of this ask then. I assumed when you setup wifi (they, Ford) would take advantage of your network, a la Tesla. I believe the one at the top of my picture was after I went in and acc powered the truck to try to force the SW update time...

I have yet to see one SW update on my truck (since I've owned it, which is fine) but since my truck is "supposed" to check for SW updates at 1AM, daily. I started snooping through my Adguard Home logs to see where/when the truck should be looking. I've included a snapshot of where the truck's...

Just like I stated, toothpicks to pull the dip from inside the lettering and a blade around some of the outside (stubborn areas). If you've never used plasti-dip, it peels right off paint...sort of like pulling saran wrap off a bowl edge.

Plasti-dip the lightning logos while they are still attached to vehicle. It is a bit tedious to remove the dip edges (from the side of bed) while not pulling up from the actual letters but as you said, toothpicks and possibly a small blade pointed straight up and down from the letters against...

I vote textured as there are a lot of patterns going on there already. Someone earlier mentioned possible spillage being next to cupholders...has anyone tried to put some sort of foam or rubber gasket above the rotary dial and below the lid (or cutout of the hole on the etsy version)?

I find that the forums and members provide a lot of things that have helped me improve and/or tailor this vehicle to my liking...if in one case "we" have to ask via DM for specific instructions vs. following along a public post, it is still simple to get what you want. What's the big deal...
