Where are the fuses located in the Delta inverter out of curiosity? Mine worked fine for awhile until one day it didn't, and ever since that day it never worked. I was only aware of the DC fuse in the FCSP, but not the Delta inverter.
Yes the truck connects to our home WiFi with two different MAC addresses, with the same "SYNC" hostnames, manufacturer shows as Ford & Hunter Industries as per Ubiquiti with the latter likely a misidentification, and disconnects at different times as well.
I wanted to chime in once again on this subject.
Today I had a grid power failure, and this time the IBP/HIS system did not kick in at all (a first). The FCSP and the truck lit up with pulsating green, but after about two minutes it would shut down (subsequent testing shows the truck also...
Same thing here. Refreshed the connected services page and it's not attributed. No confirmation email either.
Mine did go through the payment and web confirmation though. Just the account did not update with the change, and it's not letting me add the complimentary extension again.
This is what I noticed as well. I timed it several times and it's always 70-80 seconds. At least with the current FCSP version (FW 5.0.16, SW ending with 1.5.3).
And yes, reinserting the cable will reset the timer, which I did have to do because the truck goes into sort of a sleep mode and...
I am with you there completely. Figured to explain how some of us have handled this in a pinch, but as you stated, not in compliance with NEC and is a hazard under certain conditions.
First, I have to say please do not mess with the home panel if you aren’t sure what to do and there’s really no need to do so unless you plan to add a generator transfer switch setup as @chl pointed out. And for that, hire an electrician. A house fire or worse is not worth saving some bucks...
That part threw me off as well...
The way it works is that I had to open the ChargeStationPro app and select Intelligent Backup Power, go through the enabling steps, and when you get to the step to search for the FCSP/HIS, you have to both hit search on the CSP app and on the truck's screen at...
What I did for my situation is have a short 30A (L14-30P) to 50A (CS6364N) generator inlet adapter to use with a longer 30A (L14-30P to L14-30R) generator cable, but on one end of the short adapter have the ground disconnected internally. I also labeled the short adapter without the ground...
I wanted to chime in my own findings with the HIS issues. Two things get the backup system to kick in every single test so far for me;
1. With the charging cable still inserted, unplug the charging cable and plug it back in, this wakes up the truck's charge port (charge indicator lit up with a...
Oct '23 build here, and nothing since the 10.1.1 update in Nov.
I have no AT&T cell coverage at the house, although it is taken out to town daily for hours at a time.
If nothing comes through for a month, I will probably do it manually via FDRS.
+1 what TaxmanHog said, it's probably a suspension or tire/wheel issue of some sort.
My (Oct '23 build) Platinum was very smooth on the road with the stock 22” Grabber AS tires.
When I got 18” wheels and installed Grabber ATx tires, there were a very slight vibration but it was still smoother...
Today I actually saw my cat snooping around the truck and jumped up ontop the skiplates near the front wheels, but as John said, they're very skittish of areas that they don't normally relax in, and my cat left there fairly quickly (presumedly looking for mouse hiding up there during these...
Do you have an OBD2 scanner? I'm curious of the pack temp as well as the battery coolant inlet/outlet temps and if it's functioning properly. I expected about 40% loss, from experience, but 60% is excessive.
Nevermind this seems to be OP's only vehicle, which is a ballsy move in ND as far as EV ownership is concerned. I have been through -10f and colder temps in a Tesla for weeks, and it requires a lot of planning and battery preconditioning.
At those temps, Level 1 is useless to precondition the battery. You really need a Level 2 setup, it's easy to do and would make a big difference in conjunction using the departure time scheduling (doesn't have to be exact time, setting it at 5am will help a ton if you leave at 9am).
Edit: I see...
