Sometime I have to hold my hand in the handle a few seconds for it to unlock. Sometimes I have to open the app again.
For locking if I count to 3 after shutting the door then touch the sensor it will lock every time.
11kw is a good charge. Have you calculated your gas mileage? I've always wondered how efficient it is to charge using a generator.
A lot of people laugh at that, but don't think twice about carrying gas cans to fill up an ICE truck.

Again, I can confirm it is free because they did it for me and I paid nothing.
Goggle AI is not always accurate.
Nope, they will repair flats and rotate for anyone for free. They will balance for free only if you bought the tires there. I can confirm, I had a nail in a factory tire on my truck and they fixed and rotated for free.
It's a smart business decision. They get to sell you a tire if your flat...
If it's not required by Ford it won't affect your warranty. Even if you skip the inspections they would have a hard time denying a warranty claim, they would have to prove that the skipped inspections caused the failure. It doubt they could definitely prove that an inspection would have caught...
It's the same concept but we don't know if it works exactly the same. The Tesla system may comply with US regulations but the Ford system may not. There's very picky requirement for how it needs to work. So don't hold your breath that we will get it officially here.
I did not notice it.
Unless there is a toggle to turn of WAL I don't want it. I park in my garage at home and want it to stay unlocked. My understanding is that the BCM update doesn't add the toggle. I'm avoiding taking it to the dealer for CSPs in case I end up with WAL.
What if you could just develop a separate module that connects to the speaker leads that detects when a sound is input and causes it to output a sound programmed into it to the speaker? So basically when there's voltage or whatever coming from the truck module the new module is triggered to...
My philosophy when I charge at hotels is that if my truck finishes charging in the middle of the night it's ok to leave it plugged in until the morning. I would hope people wouldn't expect folks to get up at 2am to move their vehicle.
I also think paid hotel chargers shouldn't charge idle fees...
I suspect dealers would only increase prices (or not discount as much) if the competition raises theirs and/or there's a spike in demand. I don't think much of the price increases (for new) will come from the dealer side, they will come from the automakers, either as a MSRP increase and/or...
I believe Form 15400 is immediately generated when the sale is reported. It was for mine last year. As far as how long it take to propagate through the IRS system so they will accept your tax return, I don't know. I suspect not long.
I see where my confusion came from. Multiple sources say production began 4/26/22. I took a look again at Ford's press release and while it does seem to suggest that's the day production began, in one bullet point it said "full production." So they were apparently quietly making saleable...
When a dealer makes a vehicle a demo that is the in-service date for warranty purposes. If Carfax shows that it wasn't first sold until some time after that I'd think it may have been a demo. Some states though require dealers to title demos to themselves, so that would should up as a sale...
Mannequins are what we call the first batch of Lightnings sent to dealers as demos. Dealers were not allowed to sell them for 6 months. It seems a lot of them are Lariat ER with max tow, spray in liner, and a premium paint color.
Mine was built 4/22 in the first five days of production...
