  1. Installed Bilstein 6112 & Hellwig 7905 Sway Bar

It would be amazing if they made a combo for the lightning. Since these are made for the gas version of our trucks they are only interchangeable in the front, not the rear. Our Lightnings use independent rear suspension, looks similar to the front setup. The gas versions use rear leaf springs...
  2. Installed Bilstein 6112 & Hellwig 7905 Sway Bar

Agree I think it was mostly the damping. Pretty much all speeds but then again I’m coming from a sporty sedan so it was a drastic difference for me. If I had a truck prior then maybe it would have felt more normal.
  3. Installed Bilstein 6112 & Hellwig 7905 Sway Bar

23,000 miles. They seemed pretty OK. I didn’t take them apart so I can’t say for sure. For how floaty the truck was I would have thought they were worn pretty good but almost everyone seems to complain about the factory suspension so they are probably fine.
  4. Installed Bilstein 6112 & Hellwig 7905 Sway Bar

Yea that was intentional. Was getting terrible range and part of it was the lift. Instead I’ll probably drop the rear about 1.5” to compensate.
  5. Installed Bilstein 6112 & Hellwig 7905 Sway Bar

I used a jack and jack stands to do all of this. The bar itself would be very quick & easy. Undo the links on each side, undo the two nuts on the U brackets for each side and slide it out. Slide new one in, replace nuts and end links.
  6. Installed Bilstein 6112 & Hellwig 7905 Sway Bar

Yea I’ve seen that mentioned as well. I imagine the top hats/springs would be different.
  7. Installed Bilstein 6112 & Hellwig 7905 Sway Bar

Read a lot on here before deciding so figured I’d share some pics and feedback. Installed: Hellwig 7905 front swaybar - this is chromoly and larger diameter than OEM for reduced sway Mevotech TXMS408141 front swaybar end links - greaseable and look a bit stronger than OEM Bilstein 47-323841...
  8. Rear Suspension Compilation/Questions (lowering)

Good morning, I'm rocking a 2022 platinum. I purchased this truck used, prior owner installed either a 2 or 3" front lift via spacer on top of the front top hats. It looks nice level but I "feel" like I'm taking a pretty decent effeciency hit on the highway and I prefer the trucks look being a...
  9. Mongoose + FDRS - Can't Login

It's working now. Either there was an actual server error or some randomness worked. I tried turning off windows defender, restarting, running the old version as an admin & then it gave me a different error than it normally would. From there I updated to the most recent version and tried again...
  10. Mongoose + FDRS - Can't Login

I have a 22 F150 Lightning platinum. I bought the Opus Mongoose latest version Ford adapter. I've downloaded FDRS and paid for a license. I've gotten FDRS to recognize the mongoose, show battery voltage and that it's connected to the car. I've also passed all the network diagnostics. When I...
  11. Questions regarding shock upgrades

Yea 100%. I know it’s never going to act like a car. It has just a spacer kit in the front. So my real question is - do off road shocks/springs handle better than factory or are they actually looser for better crawling capability and would make it worse?
  12. Questions regarding shock upgrades

New owner of a lightly used 2022 platinum. Before buying I browsed this forum quite a bit and decided I would lower the truck with the eibach springs and sport shocks/icon camber kit or the entire icon kit once it’s on sale. Also decided to do the hellwig front sway bar. I have the sway bar and...
