  1. Anyone know why Ford used the tailgate lights for backup lights?

Just wondering why Ford used the white lights in the middle of my Lariat/Zone Lighting tailgate as the backup lights instead of just leaving the white lights on the tail lights as the backup lights like most trucks are. Marketing/differentiation thing? Video below explaining my question.
  2. Towing a 7000lb boat and trailer to beautiful Door County, WI

Charging stats included. Skip to the last minute if you want to see how it did. 0.9 Mi/Kwh while towing in 60 degree temps and head/side winds. Enjoy!
  3. Beauty shots doing truck stuff in and around WI

Just some quick pics I grabbed recently heading to the property in Wisconsin. A veterans memorial, loaded up with supplies and the dirt bike, towing an stump grinder (1.4 mi/kwh if you are curious), etc.
  4. Chicago to Branson and back (Pre-Tesla NACS)

Quick trip report from a few months back. I was swapping wheels/tires with another forum member, @rsanapala.
  5. Went to visit the Birthplace

Was cool to see the Rouge Electric factory and surrounding infrastructure of this historic area. Wish there was more of a visitor's center for the EV side. Years ago I took a tour of the ICE F150 factory through the Ford Museum which was pretty cool, though.
  6. Found a Lightning fire department truck

The driver was the fleet manager for the local fire department (county? municipality? I cannot remember). He requested a Lightning (good move!) and with incentives/rebates it was cheaper than a similarly-equipped gas F150. His colleagues don't seem to understand the appeal, he says, but I...
  7. 285 75 18 Nitto A/T tires on my 2022 Lariat ER

I put these 285/75/18 Nitto tires on some 2018 ICE wheels to get some more ground clearance and a better look. I have a 2" front level kit from Rough Country to make this work. To be honest, I am not sure it is worth the mileage hit (~25% loss). I might just keep these on for the summer...
  8. Chicago to Gulf of Mexico - Charging reports, charging speeds and costs with EA, Mercedes and Tesla NACS

Looonnng video (skip to the end for the data table) of my trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama.
  9. Offroading in my Lariat ER at Badlands Offroad Park

Quickly-edited video of how my 2022 Lariat ER did offroading at Badlands. Even at 20psi in my 285 75 18 tires, I only used about 12% battery all day.
  10. Illinois Sold: (NO LONGER LOOKING) WTT/WTB Looking for 18" XLT/Pro wheels. Can trade 20" Lariat wheels

EDIT I was able to trade with another forum member. Lariat wheels no longer available. I want to get 18 inch Lightning wheels, either the Pro or XLT ones I mean. Willing to buy and maybe willing to travel for them. If you want to trade them for my 20-in wheels that came on my Lariat, even better.
