This is what I had on hand and it turned out great. I didn’t use any clear coat because I was afraid it would be too shiny compared to the OEM plastic but in hindsight a layer of clear coat would have probably matched a bit closer.
Those look good. I looked into them when they first came out but the price tag was too hefty for me.
I’m still dreaming of the day that I meet the owner of an oxford white Lariat/Platinum that wants to trade my plain ole tailgate without the built in bed step for their taillights and tailgate.
Yep! See post #288 on this thread.
The one I received from @asianman35 had a pretty good finish as-is, but I sanded it and put several coats of primer and paint on it. That hid the remaining layer lines.
I should have said in my original post that I did have to cut the tip of the tab off on...
There is a good chance you don’t need to buy the connectors, though you may need to buy the specific pin so that you can run one of the new wires to your existing connectors. If you follow my original write-up using the supplies I linked then you should be good to go.
Do you have the 30 minute shutdown timer turned on? It defaults to on with each startup cycle. But even if you have the timer off then I think PPO will turn off if PPO isn't drawing enough power, as others have said.
Just installed my version today and it worked great. I've got a handful of people to thank that made this possible.
@jmyer72 thanks for the initial idea and the link to the shifter on ebay.
@asianman35 huge thanks for printing this out for me after I was unable to print this on my own printer...
Would anyone here with a 3D printer be willing to print my own version of the console for me? I’m willing to pay for it of course.
I took the original file from Thingiverse and modified it for my use case. I tried printing it at home but my printer is old and janky and it kept failing.
If...
@Maquis okay, I think I understand.
In the pic of my MP below, the circled breakers are the for the MWBC that the refrigerator and dishwasher are on. The breaker that is ON is for the dishwasher; the breaker that is OFF is currently unused since the refrigerator is now running through the...
@Maquis @Henry Ford
I finally got a chance to troubleshoot this and found the circuit on the main panel (MP) and the transfer switch (TS) that was causing the fault. These two breakers share the same 3-conduit wiring (two hots, one neutral, and one ground) - the hot on the MP breaker powers...
Hey, I've got my 20k mile service appt. soon and would like the ability to have WAL enabled. Do I simply ask the dealer to update the BCM while I'm there? Anything specific that I need to request or is that all I need to ask them?
Correct. The truck doesn’t fault until I flip the switch on the transfer switch when the main breaker is On.
And yes, even if reset ProPower from the truck it will immediately fault again if the Main Breaker is still on. But everything will work fine when the Main Breaker is turned off.
I...
I’ve got the same Generac transfer switch referenced in this thread.
Not sure if the truck faulted for ground fault or overcurrent. I believe it was ground fault IIRC.
@Henry Ford Question for you. When our power goes out I still have to manually flip the main breakers for our panel to off, otherwise the truck will fault, even when grid power is out. Do you know why that might happen?
@jmyer72 Is the deeper part of the 3D printed tray large enough to hold a 32oz Nalgene? The diameter is 3.5". I'm mainly interested in this mod so I can have a third cup holder, ideally large enough to hold my Nalgene water bottle. Right now I have to use a cupholder adapter to hold it.
