Thanks for the tip. I tried to order from Ford website that you linked but it was giving errors. I found it much cheaper at RockAuto thanks to this thread: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/cabin-air-filter-motorcraft-fpp92.29191/
Order link is here...
What brand/type of coolant are we supposed to use? I will need to check mine, wasn't aware this could be an issue after the module replacement. I did notice that the first time I charged after getting it back I was hearing some gurgling sounds from the battery area as coolant was circulating...
Not sure I've heard it called an "array" before, but I'm assuming they are just using a different word for module.
Each truck has ONE battery pack
Which contains 9 modules
Each module contains many cels (20 or 30 ish I think).
If a cel goes bad, they have to replace the module that contains...
I would have never known if I didn't charge above 70. When I charged to 80, it slowed down significantly around 77% or so, which was noticeable so that would be how I would have figured something was wrong if I had only been charging to 80. There were no errors or malfunctions of any kind...
Got my Lightning back today, they replaced Module #9 (on warranty of course). My previous module replacement (March 2023) was Module #8. I wonder how many others have had more than 1 replaced??
I didn't realize somebody here was tracking bad modules, that's a great idea. I do worry that Ford could have a massive liability with these bad batteries. Just fixing one must cost them at least $2k (new battery module, shipping across country in some cases, rental/loaner for 2 weeks, EV...
I just had this issue with my '22 Lariat SR only charging to 84% (showing 100% in Ford Pass, see my thread here), took it to dealer and it's a bad module. Don't bother with the voodoo tricks, I tried those and nothing worked. Good luck.
Glad to hear you're approaching the finish line on this. I'm curious about the original issue (charging only to 84%) -- did they diagnose that it was a bad module and replace that module? (That was my diagnosis for the same issue, module is getting replaced now once it gets shipped to dealer.)
Update: Took truck to the dealer yesterday, was diagnosed with a bad module that will need to be replaced and I shouldn't drive the truck until it's fixed, so they gave me a loaner. No estimate yet on when new module will arrive, could be weeks.
This is my second module replacement, the first...
Ugh, I just read your saga, that sounds painful.
I'm going to try disconnecting the negative 12V battery terminal today and see if that fixes anything, but I suspect it won't and I'll be scheduling a visit to the service dept.
I have the same issue that you started with (as you saw in my thread that you commented on here: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/charge-to-100-on-l2-charger-but-gom-shows-84-on-startup.25071/), namely that the charge always goes to 100% regardless of settings but then when you...
I've been experiencing a weird issue with my '22 Lariat SR for the past couple of weeks -- I charge it overnight on a L2 charger with target charge 95%, but when I check FordPass app in the morning it shows that charge is 100%. Then I go to the truck and unplug (all 5 blue lights solidly on...
I wouldn't change a thing. Love the Lariat options, got it at MSRP, and glad I saved $10k by not getting the extended range as I rarely go on long trips. LOVE THIS TRUCK!
Wow! I had no idea there was a Ford Pass widget, thank you! I had to balance it out with another widget, which made me realize there is a cool United widget with a countdown to your next trip. So double score!
