I was concerned about that at first but I'm not certain how accurate the diagrams are. From the pictures of the of demo vehicles it appears that the mirrors extend past the body like they do on the Lightning which is 96" including mirrors.

Well I wasn't going to make a reservation but I just did. Better to have one and not use it...
If the interior space is close to the Lightning and the price stays under $60k I might just make the switch.
Anyway, it will be a very long time before anyone gets to place a real order for one.
Need to sit in one to see how I fit but what we know looks good. The optional gas generator is a nice touch for extending range. Hoping there are good options for some "attachments". My uncle used to plow snow with his old scout and I would love to do the same.

mi/hr charging rates are highly impacted by the vehicles efficiency (i.e. mi/kWh) and is therefore a very subjective comparison.... but everybody is fixated on range
Exactly my issue with them too. I was pondering investing but their constant solicitations made me think twice and decided against it. Too many competitors are too far ahead...

Personally I think it was a valid post assuming Rivian allows reservation transfers (I don't know). I suspect that many people interested in electric trucks have reservations with multiple manufacturers.

That article is saying "emissions equal to 85mpg" which is entirely dependent on how the electricity is sourced and meaningless when measuring efficiency. Felt like a hype piece to me...
