Yep, same happened to me. Even worse:
I ordered last December with a MSRP of ~77,600. Then Ford raised the price and the Window Sticker stated 80,240 (both without destination charge). So I did lose the tax credit. And then, 2 days after I sign the contract Ford slashes prices. I don't even want...
Me on Saturday. I am trying to evaluate my options. It really ruins the truck for me. Overpaid by 17,000. Checking if I can still walk away from the contract.
Ohhh... I am so pissed. I signed on Saturday. Did not get my tax credit ($200 over) and now this, price protection is questionable. I overpaid the truck by 20k
And I did get the dreaded supply chain email. Strange since the BCM modules populated but I don't think my truck made it over the finish line before shutdown.
I heard production stops next week. My BCM modules came online last night for a 6/12 build week, so they are still building trucks this week. Not sure if they will complete my truck but we will see. Another few weeks more or less make not much difference.
I have the same thing happening. I spec'd my Lariat to be just shy of 80k (SR instead or ER, no Tow packages) just to discover that it is now 80,239 without the delivery charge. I checked my order many times to make sure the price increase did not affect my order. Now it did. My dealer rep at...
For me it is 6 month between order and projected build date. (ordered 12/17/2022, blend date hopefully 06/15/2023). I saw some trucks getting delivered as early as 2 - 3 month after ordering but also some 10 or more month out. I think a lot depends on trim level and parts availability. Hope...
At some point there was news about missing parts (door handles) for certain color trucks. They put different colors on the vehicles they built, then parked them until the correct handles arrive. A lot of the suppliers at Ford are also facing labor disruptions which may impact parts availability.
Door handle shortage
apparently they use whatever door handle they have in stock and later replace it with one in truck color... So blue trucks may get a red door handle in the assembly line, then have to wait in the lot for a blue one...
