You guys make life so difficult. By driving electric I’m already saving a bunch. By only charging to 80 percent the big winner is Ford so they don’t have to replace a battery under warranty. I plug in and charge when it is most convenient for me and I charge to 100% every time, because I need...
Newer is always better. So now that you found something you would consider, give the market one last look to see if there is something out there that beats it !
Well, I had my house set up for a standard generator with main panel bypass. Then i connected the 220v power plug in bed of Lightning to house and it tripped the Truck GFI (as expected). I then removed the ground wire at the house receptacle and the system works fine. Some day after I’m pushing...
My 23XLT ER at 40k miles, still has plenty of tread left.
I just got new tires for my 22MME ER at 65k miles at the dealer. They offered a $130 Mail in discount and my 117,000 points got $585 off.
i hope i can get a similar offer when my Lightning need tires in about another 20k miles.
In the meantime, I’m getting the equivalent of 70 mpg in a full size pickup truck, that has almost no maintenance. I think the attitude will gradually change.
I assumed my truck had 2 chargers, one being 110vac and the other being 220vac
i’m still confused, does the single charger accept 110 and 220v ? Do the duel chargers charge different parts of the hv battery or do they operate in parallel to charge the hv battery.
My 23 Lightning still doesn’t show Tesla Chargers, so i use the truck nav and the Tesla app at the same time. I wish, Ford would give us older Lightning owners an upgrade that had Tesla chargers.
The only way EV’s make sense is charging at home. If you can’t have a home charger, then a hybrid is probably a better choice for you.
Personally, about 90 percent of my charging is at home. I so seldom fast charge, having a subscription just isn’t worth it, since even when I fast charge I use...
I have a 22 MME er with 64k miles and a 23 Lightning er with 38k miles and I charge both to 100% and never let them go down below 50%. They are useless to me if I don’t have the full capability available. There isn’t a fast charger within 50 miles of my location. So far so good!
I have a 22 MME Er and a 23 Lightning xlt Er and I strongly suggest an Er battery. If you live in an area where winters get below or near freezing an Er battery is a must.
Pro power, though you will seldom use it, comes in really handy those few times you need it. I have powered my house during...
