It's quite loud on mine and would be heard over idling engine noise, It's also an unusual sound, it's obviously not normal. The fact that my dealer said it was "loose bolts" after a week of "diagnostics" :) then tightened them only for the sound to remain points to a bigger issue imo...
SO they had my truck for a week. I picked it up and got home yesterday(8 miles) and the click was back! They said they found "loose bolts from the factory" and replaced them and torqued them correctly. The sound is worse today, it's loud enough that pedestrians look over when they hear it..
Dealer has had my truck for six days, I called again today and they said they found "loose bolts, probably from the factory" ?. I hope that's not accurate, don't think it is somehow. It will be ready today so I'll be interested in seeing the work order...
Add me to the list of clickers! My XLT does this whenever accelerating or decelerating. To me it sounds almost like when you torque down a bolt extra hard, like metal slipping on metal under high pressure. I'm going to call my dealership, hopefully they have a loaner if they take it in as I need...
Good to see a company I've dealt with before now partnering with the forum. I'm installing the Retrax Pro Mx this weekend, I bought it from you guys a few weeks ago.
I have this one in my lightning right now, nice quality product, also is about a 1/4" short all around (I have no other liner) so should still fit nicely with the spray in.
This is good news, one of the very few things I'm worried about is the software side of our trucks, less fragmentation the better.
Ford is inevitably going to struggle building solid, highly functional software systems but I'm confidant they will get there.
Our gen 1s might be left out though ?‍♂️
There's also this from Ford, no side protection though.

Yep, that's the issue I'm having also, it specifically says the liner with the cut out for pro power is NOT for the Lightning. I wanted the OEM one but might just go aftermarket also.
I picked up my truck yesterday and just want to encourage everyone to hang in there, boy is it worth the wait! XLT SR and it's literally scary fast,, incredibly quiet and feels better built than our Tesla. Very happy and Serramonte Ford was a great experience too. Hoping that the NorCal...
Yep, it's been bizarre, especially towards the end. My initial delivery window ended on 8/11, got brought forward to 7/21-27, on the 29th the estimate disappeared from Ford.com but remained on Ford.Ca, then the date on Ford.ca changed to 8/2. Then it got delivered yesterday. Dealer said it...
