I could see this working in small towns without much charging infrastructure. Or more so an app. Maybe help an older Nissan leaf that went too far out of range and shouldn’t take much power/ time to charge. I really think this is a great idea at its base, but not as a main service like AAA. More...
I would ask them why they are recommending these services. Brake fluid can be tested using test strips or a test pen. In regards to an evac & recharge of the R1234yf… unless u have a leak or they can show where Ford recommends it, I wouldn’t trust them.
This is what normally happens when the conditions aren’t perfect for the calibration of the SVC.
The “rear brake assist” goes away after approximately 30 minutes, or 20 miles of driving after a failed SVC calibration.
This was the only time that I ran into one that had to be sent to the dealer since all the cameras weren’t operating, except the BUC on the tailgate.
My 3 least favorite ADAS calibrations are,
1. Audi dual front radar ACC
2. Older Nissan Front radar ACC/ AEB
3. Ford F series SVC
4. Older Mazda BSW
