Strange. I just re-read your original post and for me, I do have window tint even on my front windshield (XPEL Prime XR Ceramic @50% VLT if I remember correctly) and I haven't had any trouble in using the Toll tag.
The bag that the tag comes in is an RFID shield, so I don't know if that has...
Yes that makes sense. I think it was a good decision of them to use passive electronics like this to make it as seamless as possible for the customer.
They also indicate needing up to 24-hours between registration and first use, which corresponds to their back-end workflows along with credit...
I understood that by purchasing the tag, there would be some discounts or preferential pricing when using the toll network. I don't know by how much if at all, but I figured it would also be fun to have one.
This is what I have. Per the labels it was manufactured in April 2021 but I purchased it in October of 2022. I most recently used it in November 2024.
The instructions indicate that it is a passive tag (rather than a transponder in a technical sense), such that there is no battery and no...
That's strange. I have the rectangular one that you stick on the inside of your windshield to and it has worked fine for me whenever I've travelled from Toronto to NYC and back.
I just keep my EZ-Pass on the rubber tray that's on top of the dashboard, behind the 15" display.
Do you know for sure if the dealer is able to configure the new wheel size? I ask because when I was looking for my aftermarket wheels, the only thing available to account for the speedometer error was a plug-and-play module that would have to be tucked in behind the driver's display.
The SYNC 4 Navigation does indeed have problems and the design decisions made are unusual, but to call it "worthless" is a statement of absolutes and is not helpful if we are to expect Ford to do a significant enough of an update to make the application usable.
Part of why I chose a Lightning...
Thanks for the great tip! I've had my 2024 Lightning since late July of 2024 and noticed the sticking throttle pedal. I'll spray that point with silicone lubricant once the weather warms up a little in the next day or so.
For what it's worth, what I perceive with the throttle pedal is a slight...
Strange. When I look up the app into on Play Store, I don't have bullet point #1 - maintain service records. The app version to be installed is 5.9
I'm on a Pixel 7 Pro on Android 15. My download size is only 20.01MB.
Any ideas why there'd be a discrepancy?
It is obvious that T3 should be a departure away from the traditional pick-up truck shape; driven by aerodynamic efficiency for improved performance and increased range. I think some kind of blend between Super Van and the Pike Peak Lightning could fit the bill.
I personally chalk it up to years of running my Volt exclusively in BEV mode. Imagine having access to only 10.4 kWh and max charging of 3.3kW AC in the early days with a relatively non-existent public charging network. I guess old habits die hard and compared to before, we're now fortunate to...
Something that I'm noticing from this thread is that a lot of you really crank up the heat and here I am raw dogging it or going up to 68F (20C) max only when I need to defog the windows.
I've been using my heater occasionally from just above 0-degrees C up to 10-C and have found that the air coming through the vents to be warm. Sometimes there would be periods where the heat supplied would cool down for a period and then heat up again. Mind you, I usually run the heater between...
There has been a few Lightning videos coming out of Australia lately because they have been recently certified for import there.
Nice to be seeing a fresh perspective on things especially among their off-road crowd.
I've had my truck for only a few months (mid-Summer until now) and have only noticed the heat pump recently when pre-conditioning or when providing heat to the cab. While I can hear the heat pump under operation when either standing in front of the truck (especially with frunk open) or inside...
Thanks for sharing.
Having separated lock and unlock icons make no sense because it doesn't communicate the state of the doors - either being locked or unlocked. As a non-UI designer this makes sense so I don't understand the oversight by Ford here.
I have an open and active CSP that was sent to me by mail but isn't reflected in my online Ford Account. Should I call to request to have this detail synced?
Also, where are you guys seeing CSPs on FordPass?
Yeah I got that e-mail as well. I have an NACS extension cord in my cart but thought I'd wait. The copy on the product page is still showing a variable length of 6' to 9'. I'd hope that I'd be able to back the truck into charging stalls with whatever cord length they have available.
