  1. 2020 Mud Flaps fit 2021 F-150?

Do they require any drilling? I am looking at getting a pair for the front as a lot of people say it helps with the running boards. I see two different PN, is it $50 per set?
  2. 5th-wheel hitch fitment compatibility with 2021 F150 Powerboost

Realistically I don't see a 5th wheel and a PB to be a good pairing other than the generator function. The 6.5' bed has less payload than the 5.5 on the PB and the PB looses about 200-300lbs in payload, compared to a similar equipped 3.5EB.
  3. Towing Specs Consolidated Document - Bumper vs. Class IV vs. Tow vs. Max Tow - UPDATED DOC v4

That is what we all want to know. The issue is we don't know if other improvements are being omitted on paper. Though it would be odd to allow you to pay for something twice, if it didn't add anything. I gave in and asked the dealer to add it to the order. I know you can't modify gvwr & gawr...
  4. Towing Specs Consolidated Document - Bumper vs. Class IV vs. Tow vs. Max Tow - UPDATED DOC v4

The difficulty with this is there are so many options that can be picked that is is hard to make a summary or guide. You have to cross reference so many guides that it even confuse dealers. The best idea might be to source all of the documents that can be hard to find, unless you know where to...
  5. Tow Package Breakdown For 2021 F-150

The tank of PB a firm 30 gal, it can't be equipped with the 36gal. Radiator is the same for all PB according to the spec sheet.
  6. 5,000 LB. max for warranty without tow package?

Yeah don't blame you. The 701A 4x4 PB Max Tow that they had in stock was very tempting. Don't mind black, though the max tow, folddown storage, moonroof, spray in bed liner all add cost and reduce payload. Would have gotten the twin panel in a heartbeat, if there weren't so many complaints...
  7. 5,000 LB. max for warranty without tow package?

I agree I hate paying extra for just a stabilizer bar, though who knows what Ford isn't mentioning. At least I will have the peace of mind, stabilizer bar, and bragging rights for 11k towing:). I actually changed my 701A order to add the towing package. Doubtful I will over tow over a 7k boat...
  8. Tow bars are the difference between regular and Max Tow packages?

The blue thing is an actual bumper, it is a structural part of the vehicle. The bumper cover, which is usually misidentified as the bumper, sits on top/infront of the actual bumper.
  9. 5,000 LB. max for warranty without tow package?

They are in some builds I did in the build and price. Though you can have 53A and 17T on a XL. I think they are mutually exclusive on higher trim levels as you would pay more for 53A + 17T, vs 53A + 360 cam.
  10. Tow bars are the difference between regular and Max Tow packages?

This is incorrect. This is an image of a bumper IV Hitch or max tow (bottom) vs. Non hitch equipped bumper (top). I can't tell which one the bottom bumper is, but the Max Tow has an upgraded bumper w/ hitch than standard bumper w/ hitch.
  11. 5,000 LB. max for warranty without tow package?

Check out my post here: https://www.f150forum.com/f82/tow-technology-vs-trailer-tow-packages-491149/index2/#post6796970 There is a lot of variation between trims, power trains, etc. The bottom line is that Max Tow is not a great upgrade for PowerBoost due to the low payload, high cost, can't...
  12. 5,000 LB. max for warranty without tow package?

My dealer said the same thing, then I showed them the part in the F-150 tow guide that says above 5000lbs, you need a 17T,53A,53B,53C. If you look at the power boost tow ratings, it has disclaimer "5" that if you want to go above 7000lbs for powerboost, you need the normal trailer tow package or...
  13. 5,000 LB. max for warranty without tow package?

The Powerboost 4x4 701A 5.5' can tow up to 7,000lbs w/o TT package, though it can go up to 11,000 with the TT package. According to the documentation.
  14. What are the heavier options to avoid to increase payload?

Here is a Plat at my dealer. I am avoiding towing packages and will upgrade sway bar if I want to tow anything heavier than 7k as that is the only improvement for $1k. Ordering a 701A 4x4 PB shortbed myself.
  15. GAWR (axle) stickers for regular/max tow and EB/PB

I think I see then issue here: -Google So the 20" wheels and/or tires are most likely reducing the rating. Maybe the axle could be the HD version, but without the wheels equipped with the HDPP, it can't get that rating? The old 20" sport wheels on Lariats used to lower the payload by 250-300lbs.
  16. Towing test with 2021 Powerboost F-150

It is only on the PowerBoost as electric vehicles are near silent compared to an ICE.
  17. GAWR (axle) stickers for regular/max tow and EB/PB

Everything, but the PB engine and 701A. So no MaxTow, 7.2kw, or fold down storage. Who knows, maybe I will get closer to the 1500. Going to toss in a bed mat, so I can always remove that if needed and this build only lacks the solid stabilizer bar of the Trailer Tow Package
  18. Towing test with 2021 Powerboost F-150

Bumper Seems to be the only thing that is documented in more than one place. I have seen upgraded brakes in one place and a axle is a couple, though I am not to sure. Ford documentation seems to confuse as a bit. Though the frame data seems to have been updated from 2020: I forget if they had...
  19. GAWR (axle) stickers for regular/max tow and EB/PB

I went to the dealer to change my order from a Lariat 502A to a Platinum 701A. They had a nice looking Plat in the show room. Though it had to much extra cost ($4,374) and weight on it. 4x4 PowerBoost 145 SuperCrew 701 Platinum Max Tow Twin Panel MR Spray in Bedliner Lockable Storage 7.2KW...
