once you have done it for a few hundred nights and have a few decades of age it starts to get old and you realize it's just easier to sleep on something else.
Since it's been a few weeks now that anyone has been scheduled, does that translate to weeks delay in being built- or can they schedule now for the first week of June or is the time delay between scheduled and built fixed?
i think that video was in another thread where the answer was that you can't charge the vehicle and power the house at the same time. It's unfortunate that they didn't set up the wiring to support this option.
My current solar system has a lockout switch and an internal 120v outlet, that could trickle charge the truck in the event of a power outage, but it wouldn't be very fast. It's intended as emergency power for a freezer or some other device you want to power, but it would only work during enough...
This topic came up in another thread and I think the answer was that the current wiring setup of the charger would not support simultaneous charging of the truck via solar and powering the house. i agree it should be a capability, but there's something different about the powerwall setup that...
that sounds exactly like my progress on my wave 3 Lariat ER, except I called and added max tow last week based on the comments about range and charging impact. Still no build date
I think the base is narrow on that camper because it has to fit inside the wheel wells. That's why there's extra space in the back, they can't customize it to any particular truck because they are all slightly different- except in the space between the wheel wells.
I thought I had read somewhere that there were standard, but that might have been some preproduction paperwork. I agree the price is reasonable, but I don't want to wait any longer than I have to, and power anything is just one more item to break the day after the warranty ends.
the third row in the model X is tiny as mentioned, and I can't believe anyone over 6 will fit in the third row of the model Y. I'm considering a model Y myself, since we need a car to carry 5 people and a large dog or two, but the large EV SUV market just isn't there yet. I hope that Volvo...
thanks for the info. I guess I'll deal with that problem down the road if I add a second ev. With enough Ford chargers out there in a few years someone might make a ford to tesla adapter that fits.
Can the Ford pro charger also charge non Ford EVs- specifically Teslas? If I were to get a Tesla later after installing the charger pro, can I just use a regular adapter or will the DC plugs that are used for the backup system somehow cause issues?
