in general there's not a lot of portable electric cooking appliances available for sale, but with the increase in EVs and tailgating/camping hopefully that will change.

Have you seen the decked system? They would be a nice way to organize a cooking system, just put an electric burner on the top of it. I also do a lot of camping and am looking to eventually replace all my gas items with electric.

that's too bad about not being able to charge from solar while using the backup power, but i can understand the hardware limit of power going out the DC pins and not having it coming in via the AC connector. I guess you could potentially disconnect the house from the backup and swap to charging...

I really hope this doesn't become common if the allocations continue to be very low for dealerships. What mine may have said during the reservation phase I guess could change once the ordering starts.

I reserved on 5/19 but I think it was after the presentation, and wasn't in wave 2, so this was probably those were prioritized by dealerships or reserved during the presentation.

can't you just skip the powerwall and use the lightning as a battery backup? That's what the whole intelligent backup is supposed to be. However in all the literature it doesn't talk about charging from solar while using as a backup.
