there's a great video somewhere of a driver taking a tesla through a lake, they put a ton of weights in it so it would not float, and they basically drove it submerged through the lake multiple times.
edit- found it.
Sunrun originally had a fixed install price regardless of the complexity- and it was close to 3k iirc. Since I was installing right next to the main power panel mine was pretty simple. I called an electrician who had put some lights in the bathroom for me and he quoted $1k and had it done in...
they sprayed over my plugs also but they came out with a little prying from a flathead screwdriver. I just threw them under the back seat in case I ever want them again
I did a self install of the pro XR but with a spray in liner not a drop in. The drain tube holes in the bed had plastic oval plugs that I had to remove to route the drain tubes, but it did not require any drilling. The drain holes are much larger than the tubes, so even if they don't line up...
Any update? I have an appointment tomorrow and am worried it's going to sit there half a day and then when they finally look at it they will not be able to duplicate it and I've wasted a day without the truck
Had an appointment at the dealer today, but when they said it would take 5 hours to even look at it I decided it could wait a while. It seems to be randomly happening every few days, so until it becomes regular or I have an entire day to sit at the dealership I'll wait
Are you getting an air dam warning on the dash when this happens? I've been getting it a few time in the last couple of weeks, and it's oddly enough towards the end of my 40 minute commute in either direction. It doesn't happen every time, and I haven't yet taken it by the dealer to see what...
there is something up, and there's a time element involved. This morning I went outside and started up the truck on the driveway. First time the nav wasn't there. Activated it via the steering wheel, swapped around to other items like the phone and radio, and then turned the car off. Started...
There must be either a limit to the number of available tiles or a priority system. I got rid of a few of them and now nav is staying from start up to start up, but yesterday it was not. The addition of the second phone option for car play plus the bluetooth were keeping it from showing up on...
swiping vertical activates the tile, unless you mean down. I haven't tried that. I've launched the nav through other methods, but it only stays on the group until I turn off the vehicle and the it is not there the next time.
I have a Lariat with the bigger screen, and there's that ribbon of selection buttons between the climate controls at the bottom and whatever is selected for the top half of the screen. Now with the new software update there's a second carplay tile, but the navigation tile is gone. Is there a...
noticed this morning that the steering wheel heat doesn't activate even though the light is on. The seats were nice and warm, but the wheel was not. It does work if you manually activate it, so there's certainly an issue there. First world problems.
So i decided to test the self parking system the other day. It doesn't seem to detect lines in a parking lot, only physical cars via the sonar sensors. I was trying the setting to back into a parking space, but as I was holding down the button it tried to back into the car beside the spot so I...
odd, I have a 7/25 build week also, and as soon as I linked the phone to the car via bluetooth, the first screen the popped up was to set up phone as a key, then the backup start code and door key. Strange it's not working for everyone. Wonder if it's a hardware issue and not just software?
I did it purely as insurance, if there's some major problem with my lightning or if I total it within the next two years. It's completely refundable, and I might be in a position to need it when the time comes
