  1. Bearing noise/rotational noise @ 24,000 miles

No sounds here, but I'm at a fair bit less miles. Not sure how many miles you have driven since last year but IMO a bearing issue would likely quickly get worse. If it's been that long, assuming the truck has been driven, and the sound is no worse then I wouldn't worry too terribly much about it.
  2. Lightning sales report for Q1 2025

I know. I really wish they would offer a mid-cycle refresh. Frankly, I think if they offered 800v charging and face-lift to the current style the truck would take off again.
  3. Lightning sales report for Q1 2025

I have to agree, the CT was a new model with highly pent up demand. If the Lightning can outsell it in Q1 of 25 that is a HUGE win. IMO Ford did really well here. The Equinox and the Prologue did well, but those are very new. For Ford to have the sales they did with the very mature Mach-E and...
  4. Wiper fluid- which is best?

Those tablets are great (ok, maybe just good, not great). I use dehumidifier water rather than tap water to prevent mineral build up.
  5. Tow Report: Ford Lightning vs. 4500lbs of Raccoon-Covered History

If it was a Buick, and especially a Grand National, it would be mine for forever! Very cool cars
  6. Nevada Trade my ICE XLT for your Lighting

Good luck. One thing if I can, your title and your post say the opposite thing so clarifying which may help you achieve what you are looking for.
  7. Tow Report: Ford Lightning vs. 4500lbs of Raccoon-Covered History

Cutlass Supreme in this case. Still trying to figure out exact trim.
  8. Tow Report: Ford Lightning vs. 4500lbs of Raccoon-Covered History

I was just surprised the efficiency was so close. 1.6mi/kwh for a 2200lb empty trailer and 1.5mi/kwh for the same trailer plus another 4500lbs and an aerodynamic brick sticking up.
  9. Tow Report: Ford Lightning vs. 4500lbs of Raccoon-Covered History

I wish I could say big plans but honestly I'm just going to clean it, get it driving, and sell. They are fetching good prices right now and I got it for an absolute steal. It's a cool car, but not MY cool car, so it will fund other projects.
  10. BYD announces 1000V battery, 5 min to charge

Last i really dug into it, and before the Lightning, we ran around 26,000 kwh a year, running between 1800 and 2500kwh per month. Our heating and cooling is Geothermal, and aside from Jan and Feb when emergency heat may kick in, is relatively efficient. As for usage I run a Sense energy...
  11. Tow Report: Ford Lightning vs. 4500lbs of Raccoon-Covered History

V8, 5.0 and it looks to be an Olds 307
  12. Tow Report: Ford Lightning vs. 4500lbs of Raccoon-Covered History

For being nearly 40 years old it's pretty darn good from 10 feet too! True one owner barn find, buddies grandma was driving it up until 20 yrs ago, when it was parked in a pole barn. 40k miles on it. Minimal dings or dents, some rust but no rot. Lots of racoon shit though....
  13. BYD announces 1000V battery, 5 min to charge

Makes sense, I forget folks have unique plans. Ours is straight consumption, no TOU or charging plan, just 8 cents per kwh (and about double that after fees)
  14. BYD announces 1000V battery, 5 min to charge

That isn't a question of where though is it, it's a question of how much hot water we use. We have 6 people under one roof with 4 liking long showers and one regularly taking hot baths. Over a third of our electric bill previously was the water heater.
  15. EVSE and Floating Neutral Generator

The Ford mobile charger has a relatively high failure rate if used regularly. It's covered under your 3yr/36k warranty so I would get it replaced and store it away.
  16. Power outlet are timing off after 6 minutes!

It's not that, it's making sure that there is not an active 400v service line outside the vehicle if it's not needed. I can guarentee Ford didn't do this because they are worried about vampire drain. The reason to turn it off is for safety, not consumption. Is 6 minutes too short? I'll...
  17. Highway Range

I have proven it true myself many times. The brake lights will illuminate if slowing in 1pd drive, or when pressing the brake pedal. They will not show when slowing in sport mode (or normal)
  18. Tow Report: Ford Lightning vs. 4500lbs of Raccoon-Covered History

Today’s adventure involved my Lightning, a U-Haul car hauler, and a 40-year-old Oldsmobile that’s been sitting so long it’s now more raccoon habitat than car. It came complete with a small block engine, four flat tires, and a generous coating of nature’s graffiti. But hey, the price was right...
  19. Highway Range

You are correct, the brake lights only engage if in 1pd or if pressing the brake pedal.
