It’s pretty stuck on that secondary latch but with my luck thus far with the paint coming off on the grille now this, I can just picture that thing releasing at 70MPH on the freeway ?

Yup. Read that in the manual. You can hear it moving something but it has failed to release the secondary latch

Yes and it worked the last couple times it failed. This time it captured the secondary latch but will not engage the main latch and the buttons nor the emergency release will release the secondary latch. Now I can’t get it open or closed.

Trust me. I’ve thought about it but one problem. The frunk will not open OR close so I can’t access the 12v battery. ??‍♂️

yes, I read the manual on troubleshooting including the emergency release and no luck.

Hopefully this isn’t turning into a trend. My Mega power frunk™️ has acted up a couple times now with it either failing to open or close. It will only give 4 long beeps with a message on the binnacle saying “frunk malfunction see manual”. I’ve made a service appointment but it’s not for a couple...

Yes. I have used one for years as well as a foam cannon. That being said. I never use a tip that would be too much for vehicle washing and have not pressure washed this vehicle yet. Never had a problem with any of my other vehicles over the past 10 years. But I see your point.

They agreed to schedule an appointment to “inspect” the issue. Called ford corporate. They advised that they can no directly do anything until the truck is evaluated by the dealership. They said that once it is they would follow up. We shally see on the 20th.

Zero signs of debris impact anywhere around the missing paint.

I’m no pro with vinyl but I have experience with it, with all the curves and contours, it would be very difficult with one piece. I’m thinking about it tho

Definitely paint. I’m kinda shocked that the Dealership will not replace it. Got a quote from the parts department just to know, $1300 for JUST THE GRILLE! Does not include the ford emblem with inter grated camera system. ??‍♂️ guess ill be eagerly waiting for the aftermarket.
