Threading this because just saw this on Bloomberg front page:

Shale producers set to increase production.
I think "cleaner" is generally right. Depending on where you live EV's on the market today are anywhere from 50-100mpg in terms of carbon depending on the EV. If you have your own solar clearly this number can be even higher.
Here is a good tool for getting quick equivalents by zip code...
Yeah I mean I used to work in energy markets and actually think middle to long term freezing out Russia will bring down prices. Domestic production is way down since pre pandemic because producers have been shy to drill after they get crushed in the 2020 oil crash (remember at one point oil...
Yeah I mean I think the way forward is to continue the improvements on ICE vehicles along with new EV products. I agree EV's are not generally anywhere close to affordable for a lot of people. Products like the new Ford Maverick I think are in a lot of ways much more important where it is an...
@Administrator can you please either go through and clean up this forum or shut down. Political discussion is not helpful to anyone. I'm not R or D but this is just getting inane.
Edit: btw would prefer clean up there is useful discourse here, but also plenty of patently unproductive discussion...
Good website for carbon equivalencies.

One interesting thing I learned from it is here in Colorado where we have a pretty dirty grid a Prius Prime is actually more carbon efficient than a Model 3 (driving mostly highway which I do). I found another site...
I mean up to you if you don’t want your ACC to work but it is not working correctly if it is braking when a semi in the lane next to you. If you are happy having that happen all power to you I guess, lol.
Going to say that is not normal behavior and you probably want to get truck checked out also. I have had mine since January 2021 and have not ever had this happen. Not sure if OP meant 2 lanes as in 2 lanes each direction, or one direction each way, but I spend a lot of time on both with cruise...
That fuel economy seems really low. I’ve only towed twice with mine:
Once around 300 miles with a 3500 pound empty utility trailer that was loaded with 3000 pounds of lumber for half the drive. Multiple mountain passes for total of probably 7000 feet of elevation gain up and down and I think...
I joined Early Access in August 2021 and did complete the survey. No idea how it might impact things hopefully it helps you along. I generally tend to get all updates quickly for whatever that is worth…
I would argue Level 3+ has more to do with the amount of trust the manufacturer puts in it than the user, though theoretically they should be similar. I think this is one of the big disconnects in how a lot of consumers think about L2 systems (basically self driving!) and how manufacturers do...
Yeah I mean I’m sure it will be fine. Ford and GM aren’t self driving. They are level 2 ADAS. Tesla is also they just are more aggressive. If you want self driving I would move to a city that has it like Phoenix or SF. The idea of self driving consumer cars is still a LONG ways off.
Either way...
