FWIW I received this update yesterday. Only apparent difference is what was noted in release notes removing intelligent cruise control and instead making speed sign recognition a subset of adaptive cruise control.
Thanks! This is really helpful / I’m definitely going to take a look at these. I agree that the Duratracs are great but also feel like overkill. Doing mostly highway I just think there is too much trade off with such an aggressive tire. They also do fairly well in the snow but I still don’t...
Thanks! I am definitely going to take a look at these after this winter. I’m planning to switch to summer/winter tires rather than just using a 3PMSF year round and have heard great things about the defenders.
Do you take the defenders in the dirt at all? I know they are a highway tire but I’m curious if anyone takes them off-road at all. I drive a fair number of unmaintained fire roads (Colorado high mountain passes mostly) so nothing too gnarly but definitely a fair amount of steep loose stuff. I...
My 502A came with 18’s and I think they look good. Difference is maybe that is sport instead of chrome? It’s also FX4 and Max Tow so may be from one of those.
My only ride quality complaint is because I switched tires to Duratracs so I could use them in winter also and they are noticeably worse...
I haven’t been able to get mine to work. It’s an older Chamberlain (maybe 90s/2000s) and I eventually just gave up and have the remote in the center console. Our Honda with Homelink was no problem to program.
Have separate winter and summer wheels. On prior vehicle stripped a lock while trying to take it off with an impact wrench. Mostly though it’s the fact that they charge for them that is ridiculous.
I also this was just a dealership scam so they could tack on an extra $200 or whatever for a $4 part. I have always argued with dealers to take them off if they are installed and they just throw them on for free because they don’t want to bother with the hassle.
EDIT: Also I have always ended...
It's been on my to-do list for a while because it looks pretty easy but I have not done it yet.
Not sure why the blocks would impact towing capacity, since all they do is increase the height by about an inch, but people smarter than me would be able to tell you more specifically. Unless there...
I’m on my second rental trailer with this problem. First one I thought it was bad wiring or loose connection (I left it unlocked to stop alarm and it drained battery overnight). Just picked up a U-Haul and same problem, so seems to be the truck. Just leaving this one disconnected so the...
I ended up with the work bench because I bought off the lot last year and it came with power tailgate. The step is hugely useful - this is my first time owning a truck and did not appreciate just how absurdly high the gate is, and I am someone who gets in and out of the back a lot. As someone...
I mean the Level 2 multiple updates is clearly a BC issue. I read this as they want to simplify OTAs by not pushing them weekly in order to fix BC bugs (like Tesla has to do with its FSD users). Minimizing OTAs IMHO is a good thing - my iPhone updates less than monthly and most updates are at...
“We wanted to improve the customer experience,” Farley said. “So we pushed it back in terms of an OTA because we want it to be much simpler for the customer than was originally planned. And that takes a little planning to consolidate. Often these Level 2 systems require multiple updates to the...
I haven’t had any problems underneath with my Dakine though I recently noticed the carbon is getting pretty beat up where the bike rubs against the pad.
