  1. 3000-ish miles WA-ID-MT-ND round trip report -- I LOVE road tripping in my Lightning!

Wish I took some pics, I was too busy driving and hunting. My wife is the official picture taker and documentarian of the family. Unfortunately hunting isn't her thing, so you'll just have to trust that the trip really happened...
  2. 3000-ish miles WA-ID-MT-ND round trip report -- I LOVE road tripping in my Lightning!

ABRP only uses the BLE standard. IIRC, this was one of their recommended readers and it works great for me: Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) OBD2 https://a.co/d/5DPWtiU - I use the OBD link MX+ for CarScanner and ForScan. It is recommended for both. The Vgate above doesn't work well with...
  3. 3000-ish miles WA-ID-MT-ND round trip report -- I LOVE road tripping in my Lightning!

Great hunt in beautiful country! Our shooting could have been a little (maybe a lot) better... Many birds will be able to pass on their evasion genes to the next generation. I did bring home enough pheasant and other game birds to make multiple meals of "chicken" burritos and "BBQ chicken"...
  4. 3000-ish miles WA-ID-MT-ND round trip report -- I LOVE road tripping in my Lightning!

The breakdown: 2024 Lightning Pro, extended range battery, max-tow, 9600 watt pro power. About 3300+ miles round trip. I didn't track it or set a trip odometer. Using GPS and estimates from daily driving. 19 Tesla DCFC for a total of $420.48. I signed up for the membership before leaving and...

  6. F150 Lightning FORscan thread

I had to get a test version of forscan, but I now have the glare-free lights working. Followed OP instructions and ran the headlight calibration. They still move smoothly, no issues that I can tell. 2024 Pro SSV (the "police package"), max tow, pro power, dual charger vLinker FS USB connector
  7. Ipma not loading on forscan

Successfully able to complete all of the IPMA and other module changes with the test version of forscan that they sent me. I now have working glare-free headlights! If you are still having problems, pay for an extended license, contact the ForScan support team and send them your log files...
  8. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

I am planning on doing some ForScan tinkering and wondering if there is anything to update on FDRS before I start. 1FT6W1BM1RWG22583 Thank you!
  9. Is this power reduction normal?

I had never noticed this before. I read your OP this morning and noticed my power drop to 95%, then 90% on my way home from a long drive with heat and accessories on. I think after I passed someone on an uphill grade is when I first noticed the drop to 95%. Arrived home with 18% SOC, charging...
  10. Connected with CarScanner...now what?

Same as others, I mostly monitor on longer trips. I try to keep the data to the minimum while driving and load lots of info when I'm looking for something specific while troubleshooting. My main driving dashboard consists of: Coolant Heater and AC compressor (heat pump) to see how much is...
  11. Ipma not loading on forscan

The ForScan team sent me a test version this morning, 2.3.64. I won't be able to load it up and try it out until later tonight. Stay tuned...
  12. What’s your exit plan for the truck?

No exit plan. Keeping it until it can't go any longer.....or until someone gives me a whole lotta money ?
  13. Ipma not loading on forscan

I tried that last night, but still received the "Service procedure has been interrupted" error. I might try to load an older version of forscan and see if that helps, at least until I hear something back from the support team.
  14. Ipma not loading on forscan

Same issue for me. Trying to activate glare free on my 2024 Lightning Pro and the IPMA won't write, I get the same error, "Service procedure has been interrupted". I sent an email to ForScan support last night with the logs and they acknowledged the receipt of everything this morning. Hopefully...
  15. Optimizing Battery Use During Winter?

Charging to 100% should be fine for your battery as long as you don't leave it sitting at 100% for a long time. On your travel days, I would charge to 100 and not worry about it. I have a similar travel situation as you and charge to 100 for the morning that the kids have travel soccer games. I...
  16. Honda Ridgeline to Lightning...maybe.

I don't know anything about Apple and Car Play. I do know that both Google Maps and ABRP are available for Apple users, but I only have Android so I am unqualified to answer.
  17. Honda Ridgeline to Lightning...maybe.

For this question, yes and no... The built-in GPS and mapping will direct you to CCS1 chargers like EA, Charge point, BP, etc. It still doesn't direct you to Tesla chargers, even though you can use them with the NACS to CCS1 adapter or built in magic dock. Google Maps and A Better Route...
  18. Pissed a little ( well maybe more)

An interlock and a couple of parts from Home Depot. https://www.geninterlock.com/ Install yourself if you're comfortable. Get an inspection. Bam! Backup power. Or have an electrician do it for you.
  19. Pissed a little ( well maybe more)

    Sometimes you eat the bar....
