Thanks for showing me where to find the information.
I'm not worried about it--I was certain it came with the step tailgate. I saw it on one of these sheets and also in the videos. Someone created a thread for it on reddit but I couldn't find the information to show them it was included when I...
The tests are conducted at stock configuration; even though that specific vehicle window sticker has max tow on it, the tests aren't conducted for each vehicle individually and those data aren't tailored to the sticker configuration.
After someone mentioned the concern over the tailgate on...
What is all of this about?
I haven't done any of it. Meanwhile my order is on the website while unscheduled for production. Whenever I call Ford or my dealership I'm told there isn't anything left for me to fill out or submit.
When I google WBDO I find pictures of sheets that I've been...
Funny thing about that video is the driver of the subject car would have not had any "surprises on the road" if they slowed down and didn't tailgate :)
At minimum it'll decrease charging times and increase cell/motor longevity.
If it's using a beefier pump it might even reduce pump losses during normal transit (increasing range, albeit ever so slightly).
Welp, that answers one question: fixed boards have LED lighting whereas retractable seem to not have them.
I do like retracting them for highway hauling but never been a fan of the stock ones anyway. I put them on because they cost $200 bucks but I intended to take them off for resale anyway...
The Plat has Max Tow whereas the Lariat ER does not.
Doubtful she gets a better explanation than that.
As for myself, I'm curious whether the Lariat comes with an integrated tailgate step. It's been shown in videos but isn't on the build sheets.
I don't think 2023 with is an option.
The owner just sent me an updated build sheet with a note saying they were NLA. Didn't ask if I wanted them badly enough to wait for next year.
I think that note is more of a "try again next year" than it being a "delay your already ordered truck until...
My dealer didn't let me know (about the choice)...just sent me an updated build with them removed and told me they were NLA.
Reading that message, however, I'm glad the owner just opted to remove them completely from my order because I probably would have made a stupid decision if left up to...
I had switched to the A/T tires but then I switched back after I realized if I was going to take it anywhere that I wished I had A/T tires I'd also want them on 17s or 18s.
So I'll just buy an extra set of wheels and maybe sell my 20s but most likely keep them for around town.
I doubt many will want to see the price tag on that airstream.
When I googled, "most aerodynamic travel trailer" I found one company claiming that distinction. The trailers were between $250-300K :O
I haven't seen any manufacturer do this other than Tesla. I'm not even sure about Tesla, I just read that they have foam or something in their tires so I'm assuming they're custom made.
Everyone else, however, is using off the shelf tires.
I didn't include reservations/invites in the calculations.
We don't know how many invites Ford extended or how many orders they are processing. Those were calculations of how long it'd take to manufacture 11,000 orders at a rate of 200 per day.
There is no safe way to "back pressure" a tow vehicle in the way you're suggesting. The suggestion is absurd and violates the laws of physics that you ignored in your earlier statement.
If you want to try and thread a needle of rebutting sound towing principles with trolling remarks like, "the...
You said you were joking, but let's run the numbers to see what this scenario looks like:
2,200 dealers x 5 orders = 11,000 Lightnings
200 produced x 5 days = 1,000 per week
11,000 Lightnings / 1,000 per week = 11 weeks
So 11-22K Lightning orders should take between 3-6 months, which isn't too...
You're right! I haven't had a truck in so long that I completely forgot about that. It's been like 40 years since I've seen/used one of those bed campers. I can't remember if we had to set them down inside the bed while carefully avoiding the wheel wells or if they were just narrow like this...
Due to the way the tax credit phases out, I think our Lightnings would have to be delayed for over a year for us not to receive the full amount.
I would be surprised if people who optioned their Lightnings weren't given a chance to accept an as-built truck if delays start piling up.
