    ^^^ This is your problem. You need the 5-15P to 14-50R adapter specifically for EVs not RVs. They are wired differently and cannot be exchanged.

    ^^^ This ^^^. Sometimes you forget to plug in or something glitches and you'll need the local station to get about your day. An EVSE failure and onboard charger failure took me out for about 2 weeks in total over the last 2 years and the local DCFC station kept me rolling.
