  1. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

At full load, yes that power supply correctly requires a 20 amp outlet on a 20 amp circuit. It will pull more than 12 amps, which is more than the 80% of a 15 amp circuit they can design for. 14.9vdc at 100 amps + 15% inefficiencies is about 1700 watts, which is 14 amps @ 120vac. If you have a...
  2. Transfer Switch

This is a wild overreaction not based on reality. There is nothing to get anyone killed, and nothing to start a fire. If you're going to make such outrageous claims, back it up with factual examples or data. And not some completely absurd edge case that would burn the house down with or...
  3. Transfer Switch

Yeah it's highly likely the electrician is not going to modify the cable for you.
  4. Transfer Switch

This is what lots of us have for the ProPower and/or a portable generator. But you will need to disconnect the ground pin on the female end of your generator cable for this to work with ProPower. I highly recommend clearly labeling that cable as having the ground lifted on the female end, and...
  5. EULA Rufy (forced acceptance of agreement in FordPass)

The terms of the sale haven't changed. The EULA is for the App, which you agreed to last time you installed it on your phone too. Not sure how it was ok then but not now? If there was a decline button, that decline button would then uninstall the app from your phone. So I'm not sure what you...
  6. BC1.4 is coming soon in early 2024 according to Ford FAQ

All the electronics by themselves are probably not using 40 amps. But when you add in all the ancillary support systems such as cooling system pumps, fans, etc all add up very quickly. That said, I'm gonna guess some of that is not necessary and the problem could be solve by simply not...
  7. BC1.4 is coming soon in early 2024 according to Ford FAQ

Because when the DC-DC converter and other supporting components need to shut down, the vehicle could never be turned back on. The 12v battery is minimally needed to black start the truck.
  8. BC1.4 is coming soon in early 2024 according to Ford FAQ

The 40 amps is not actually that surprising. When an ice vehicle is powered on, Fake chinesium garbage being sold by fake chinese companies with fake specs and fake pictures on Amazon is not what I would trust to power ANYTHING, let alone an $80,000 truck during critical updates. It is...
  9. Lightning ProPower powers house with 3.5-ton heat pump using MicoAir EastStart on the compressor

Not sure, it's submersible and not small. But has virtually no noticeable impact.
  10. Lightning ProPower powers house with 3.5-ton heat pump using MicoAir EastStart on the compressor

Indeed. You definitely pay for it. At least what I'm paying for is a quality American product with actual results. Definitely getting something for my money!
  11. Lightning ProPower powers house with 3.5-ton heat pump using MicoAir EastStart on the compressor

Just finished installing a Mico-Air EasyStart on my 3.5-ton heat pump. It reduced the lock rotor current (in-rush current) by 75% from 85 amps down to 21 amps! This now allows the Lightning's ProPower to successfully start and run the heat pump without even a flinch. Prior to this, the 85 amp...
  12. Tesla adapter ETA?

Same. I have a road trip in July and don't trust Ford's "June" date. So I have an expensive A2Z under the seat just in case the free ford one doesn't arrive.
  13. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

Licenses don't need to exclude anything. They are inclusive. They define what you get. Anything that isn't listed as specifically what you get, is the end user's wishful thinking. I haven't read it either. But I'm quite confident that nobody would ever put into a license that the customer must...
  14. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

You're buying a license to utilize the application. You're not buying a license to succeed at whatever you're trying to do. If they will extend your license due to problem on their end,vid say that is nice of them but certainly not an obligation or legal requirement.
  15. Ford CEO Jim Farley on EVs, NACS Adapter, New Detroit HQ @ Michigan Central Station -- Yahoo Finance Interview 6/4/24

That's great for you. But the quantity of people who preordered and bought a 22, then said not for me was very very high. Plus all lemon buy back
  16. Ford CEO Jim Farley on EVs, NACS Adapter, New Detroit HQ @ Michigan Central Station -- Yahoo Finance Interview 6/4/24

The inventory of used 2022 Lightnings with low miles says otherwise.....
  17. SSM 52574 - Vehicles Equipped with SYNC4 - Solutions Being Developed

If I do not currently have any Sync malfunctions, does updating to the latest versions in FDRS trigger the problem to start happening? OR, are they just saying that if you are already having Sync malfunctions, the updates will not fix it yet?
  18. Fog lights and ditch lights with backlighting, switches, and canbus integrated controls

There's a large gromet in the footwell. It is a huge PITA to get through. In other vehicles, I could simply poke through with a coat hanger or knife. This thing required a of work to get a hole through for the wires. The little panel under the steering wheel pops right off, just plastic clips.
